Well I'll give my input. I like both but I lean towards Star Trek. I will say I'm more of a fan of the older stuff, not so much the newer stuff. Next Generation is the GOAT!! -

I've only watched the original Star Wars trilogy (plus two of the sequels), and I've only watched a few episodes of the original Star Trek. But if we're purely comparing the originals, I'd say Star Wars.
But if you gave me a choice between watching the original Star Trek, or watching any of the Disney Star Wars films, I'd choose Star Trek in a heartbeat. -

I like the old Star Wars but I'm with you on the Disney ones. They destroyed the franchise. Lots of people disliked the prequels but they weren't anywhere near as bad as the Disney ones.. -

Between the two I guess I'd probably have to go with Star Wars simply because I'm more familiar with it. I have never seen the prequel trilogy nor sequel trilogy however, only the original trilogy (IV, V, VI). The Lego Star Wars games and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds were also really good.
I have watched a bit of Star Trek: The Next Generation with my father when I was younger though. He's a huge fan of that show.
