Sonic and the Secret Rings! Both absolutely amazing games. I know Sonic 06 had a lot of technical issues, and was an unfinished game. I truly believe that it would have been far more polished and complete had the development team not been put under such stress to get the game out within a specific time window with constrained staffing resources. Regardless, Sonic 06 is one of my absolute favorite Sonic games of all time due to its precious, moving, complex and compelling story, characters, dialogue and music. I really wish we could get more Sonic games like it. I love Secret Rings equally for similar but differing reasons. The Storybook series overall is very dear to me. I love the uniquely-styled aesthetic elements and unique gameplay elements, the amazing stories, characters and environments, along with countless other aspects of the games such as fantastic unlockables and the amazing party game sidemode in Secret Rings.
Over Sonic's long and awesome history, countless games have been released ranging from the massively popular to the barely known. Some of these barely-known titles include Sonic games on exclusively educational systems. What are all of the educational Sonic games, and what were all of the systems they were released on? -

Sonic's Edusoft for the Master System, Sonic the Hedgehog's Gameworld for the Sega Pico, Tails and the Music Maker for the Sega Pico, Sonic's Schoolhouse for Microsoft Windows, Sonic X for Leapster, and Sonic the Hedgehog for the Leapster Didj.
There used to be a theory that went around that Silver was a descendant of a certain Sonic character. The theory was later debunked by Takashi Iizuka. Who was this Sonic character that Silver was theorized to be a descendant of and why? -

I'm always fascinated by rare/little-known Sonic games. One of my goals is to someday have played every single Sonic game ever, including these rare educational Sonic games.
The theory was that Silver was a descendant of Shadow and Amy. These theories were based off of Sir Galahad (Silver lookalike in Sonic and the Black Knight) being a descendent of Sir Lancelot (Shadow lookalike), as well as speculation from Ian Flynn regarding alleged patterns between Shadow and Amy from which one could headcanon Silver being a descendent of their family tree. Iizuka indeed debunked this on his Facebook.
One of the countless aspects of Sonic 06 that I love is the substantial amount of DLC they created for it. The DLCs add a good amount of content to the game, some of my favorites being Very Hard versions of many levels. Some of these levels have particularly interesting differences when comparing to the regular version and Hard version of the level. What are the key differences between the Very Hard version of Dusty Desert from Shadow's story and the regular version of Dusty Desert from Shadow's story? -

Sonic '06 had DLC? *Googles intensely and looks on Youtube* Alright so some differences are the Iblis monsters are placed by robots, enemies and lasers appear more frequently, Omega's section is a lot longer, you will play as Rouge as part of the level now, you actually go outside of the temple at the end, and the route you take through the poles to get inside the temple at the beginning is different with some spikes for you to jump over.
So, for Sonic 3, Michael Jackson helped with the composition of the soundtrack....so why was he left uncredited? -

lol yeah it's probably a lesser known fact, but something I wish so much they would do for modern Sonic games. Both Sonic 06 and Sonic Unleashed have a tremendous amount of DLC that adds a great deal of content and challenge to those already content rich and challenging games. Dusty Desert Very Hard Mode is definitely one of my favorite examples of this for Sonic 06: it's just such a satisfying level, as Shadow's version of Dusty Desert was already very long and difficult as it was, with the Very Hard version having one of the most substantial increases in both difficulty and length when compared to other Very Hard mode levels. There are many other Very Hard mode levels that do this fantastically as well but Dusty Desert is one of my favorites, one of the biggest reasons being the addition of a whole new section at the very end combined with some extremely difficult additions such as master tier stuff with the hovercraft at the beginning and some portal puzzles later on in the level.
I don't remember if this was something we have the full details on, or if it's more of a rumor-based kind of thing. But I'm pretty sure Michael Jackson was left uncredited for Sonic 3 as he was frustrated with the limited sound capabilities for the Genesis, and possibly also due to controversy surrounding him.
In Sonic Unleashed, there are multiple easter eggs hidden extremely well throughout the hubworld for Spagonia. These require you to perform very specific actions to hear a few mysterious things that will almost always be missed unless you know where to look for them or happen to notice them as you walk by. What are all of these easter eggs and where exactly in the hubworld are they located? -

So, the first sound is what seems to be a radio. This can be heard somewhere on the left side of the map of Spagonia at night. In a dark alley, you can hear a family arguing. By going near the window in one of the buildings, there is the sound of someone watching sports on television. Finally, in the first alleyway on the right, someone is whistling the Sonic Unleashed theme.
I'm really curious if you're going to fall for the trap I placed in this question. What was the first game where you could play as Sonic in a fully 3D environment? (This does not include 3D Blast or the bonus levels in Sonic 2, CD, or 3 for the Sega Genesis as I don't think they count.) -

HA! You fell for it! It's actually Christmas NiGHTS Into Dreams which came out before Sonic Jam. You could unlock Sonic in the game and you could control him in a 3D environment.
Sonic's first appearance was in an arcade game called Rad Mobile.
