  I think a big part of that is just how underwhelming the game was for so many people. I enjoyed it but it just felt too short lived and the gameplay definitely has some issues that need to be refined and expanded upon. I like the story of it all but the execution of the stages and mechanics just wasn't quite up to par...

  I can agree with that. I liked the 3D segments but the level design was subpar. I also disliked that most of it was 2D. If they can refine it next game I’m sure it will be good, most of the time on Forces was just getting it on a new engine.

  Yeah which that engine needs a lot of work. Honestly Forces could have waited another year in production for them to flesh it out more and make the levels longer with more 3D segments. I'm fine with delays when they make a game better in the long run.

  Hopefully if they make a Sonic Forces 2 it will get rid of Sonic and his classic counterpart and focus entirely on the custom character.
  .... But we all know that's not going to happen.

  Get rid of Sonic all together? Nah that’d be terrible. That said I’d get rid of classic Sonic.
