(Ok, I'm going to reply. Hero side story, go! Since City Escape isn't on the list, going to have to start on Wild Canyon with Aaron.)
In the dry regions of Angel Island, Aaron Kunai scoured Wild Canyon for pieces of the Master Emerald. Knuckles, who was guarding the Master Emerald when Aaron came to visit had to shatter it due to a Bat girl named Rouge and Dr. Eggman tried to take it. Knuckles said he was going to Pumpkin Hill to look for shards while Aaron looked in Wild Canyon.
