I'm only in interested in the physical release because that's how I like my games. Yeah, I'm one of those people who covet physical media lol. I figure I might as well get something a little extra out of it haha!
there were also mentions of a "season pass" when they were talking abt the game, meaning there may be even more content that'll release later on for sxsg similar to Frontiers, but I think the future content for sxsg will most likely be paid-for content rather than free, but we'll see! -

oh, I understand totally what you mean, I've always preferred to get my games physically rather than digitally, it's hard to justify the thought of possibly losing my games once the digital store front is no longer supported and buying SD cards in order to have more room for games isn't very enticing either! JP has a nice, physical special edition with a statue and keychain, I wish we got more physical special editions like that

I have a PS5 but wut... Come on Sega! Why would you do this and/or why would PlayStation want this as exclusive? No one is going to buy a game on a different platform just for an opening animation. It benefits no one!
That said, I'm looking forward to what this animation actually is. Obviously it's to do with Shadow. -

That article title is a bit misleading, actually. The animation will still be (presumably) released on the Sonic Youtube. The PS5 version of the game, however, includes an extended version of it, with scenes that got cut from the original.
It's still annoying, but at least everyone else gets to watch a version of the animation for free. -

I'm sure it will be on Youtube and if not officially, someone will upload it. It's just silly given it will be viewable to anyone. An exclusive skin that's different for each platform? That would make more sense. -

announced on twitter today! if you sign up for SEGA's newsletter you'll also receive a Sonic Jam Legacy skin! you can sign up on SEGA's website here, it requires you to enter your birthday, first and last name, and the console you'll be playing SxS Gens on, so please keep that in mind! SEGA will then send a link to your email to verify your email address, I'm assuming it's 1 code per email address meaning if you're double dipping and getting it on PC and another Console for Physical Edition purposes you'll most likely need 2 different emails

rumours are also spreading of there possibly being a 2nd playable character in Shadow's campaign, due to the SxSGens pages. Sonic's page shows both Modern and Classic Sonic, while Shadow's page shows a "Coming Soon..." next to Shadow

I personally think the blank spot of Shadow's character page is related to bios for Maria, Black Doom, Gerald, or even the Biolizard, but I won't lie I think it would also be interesting if there were 2 different styles for Shadow's story in Generations...
also Anime Expo is this weekend! so more information abt Sonic x Shadow Generations will be revealed this weekend! -

As far as Shadow's second slot, that is interesting. Not sure what it could be, maybe Terios? But that's just a skin. -

got done watching the anime expo panel livestream not too long ago! super exciting all around with the commentary on his character, but this animation preview in particular has got me THRILLED. i had reasonably high expectations just based on the quality of the frontiers knuckles prologue and this has surpassed nearly all of them!!
anyways... sonic battle fans, how are we feeling??? -
