Yeah the fan version is soooooo much better, sure its rough around the edges but I take that over Hastur the hedgehog in the original trailer.

It’s better than the movie model but still weird and doesn’t fit in with the rest of the movie. Not a big fan. I think somewhere in between this and the more realistic look would be best. Just so it doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

Much better and and an impressive feat for one person in such a short time but I think they should have just Roger Rabbited it. An expressive hand-drawn comic-style Sonic would have been way more compelling.

The song needs to be replaced with something better.

I think the song was just used as kinda an attention grabber for the trailer. I really doubt they use it in the actual movie.

Yeah i am expecting something in the middle myself, again i dont care for game accuracy but the model should have been better in the first place.
Still prefer the fan render so far though over Gorthax the destroyer of souls (my new name for the original model as seen in the original trailer}

I can even give him a HP lovecraft inspired story too:

Gorthax the destroyer of souls appears as a blue hedgehog like creature who can run at speeds that can drive one mad, if you see Gorthax the destroyer of souls he will be so fast that your flesh will melt at the mere sight of him.

I approve of this design, its a nice mix of the classic sonic design and the one from the original trailer.
Its both unique, appealing, yet very appropriate and does not remind me of eldrich abominiations.
Sure yes still not game accurate but I can let that slide as long as it conveys who sonic is.
