Let's Rewrite- Sonic Forces

Hey guys, its been along time, and I want to do another fun exercise, how would you write the story of Sonic Forces?
I'll start things off~
Episode Shadow
After the events of Sonic Mania, Classic Sonic pops in the current timeline with the Phantom Ruby. He just so happens to be near Eggman's base, and because of the last fight, he is weak, so he couldn't fight back as the robots capture him and the ruby. Eggman is surely surprised, but keeps classic in hibernation as he studies the ruby. After a couple of days/weeks, Shadow is snooping around Eggman's base on a rescue mission as he has been kidnapping mobians, and the hedgehog is trying to it figure out. He infiltrates the base, and finds Classic at the very least, but is found out by Eggman and is forced to do battle with a Jackal with a Phantom Ruby embedded in his chest. Bossfight time and Shadow wins, but the jackal recovers quickly and chases after him. It leads to an action stage where he is chased. Metal Sonic joins afterwards, but before that, Shadow injures the jackal's face before his minds being trapped within an augmented nexus limbo. Metal Sonic takes both bodies back to base, haven't been seen since.
Main Game
Sonic is chilling out with Tails on the outskirts of a mobian city(That is not Green Hill) where they see the Eggfleet in the distance heading towards the city. They run to he city to stop it, but the doctor is already attacking the city by the time hey arrive. They faced Eggman, but they unveiled Shadow, Metal Sonic, and this new figure named Infinite. Shadow seems to be under some kind of mind control as he has a device on him that contains a Phantom Ruby prototype. Sonic does battle, but is overwhelmed and defeated. Tails jumps in to help with his bare hands, but is swatted away and witnessed Sonic being captured and taken away. The robots continue the assault on the city, and that's when we meet Original the Character, helping the fox boy escape from the city and watch it burn.
It has been two months, and the Eggman Empire is pretty much victorious at the very least conquering the majority of the world. The United Federation couldn't fight back thanks to the power of the Phantom Ruby, but the free people forms an underground resistance called the Freedom Fighters, lead by the President. He is commanding the remnants of GUN and any volunteers that wishes to fight. Original the Character is here, a new recruit and is given a mission to rescue captured civilians within one of Eggman's base along with Tails. They are successful, but they find Classic and frees him, but that leads to a bossfight when they meet with Metal Sonic. They return to base, everyone is surprised to see Classic back and he 'explains' what happened. Because of his last adventure, he accidentally brought the Phantom Ruby to this timeline, and because of it Eggman is ruling the world. He, of course joins them.
They are starting to receive reports of Shadow causing havik, but also a familiar blue hedgehog. They cannot let him run around anymore, So Classic volunteers to free Shadow. He does so by destroying the device, and he is back on their side. He doesn't know much, but does know about aspects of the Ruby. It manipulates augmented reality, and he experienced it by being experimented on using a prototype. He also confirms that Sonic underwent the same process, so they have to save him. The heart of the empire is in Eggmantropolis, but it is protected by a forcefield. The powersource of said shield is inside a newly modeled Death Egg. Original and Classic destroys it after one Eggman bossfight, and the resistance assaults the city. Infinite is there, also the brainwashed Sonic as they try to stop them.
The doctor threaten Sonic's life if they do not surrender, but before they can comply, they are trapped within the Nullvoid. They do battle with Sonic and free him from the mind control. They are able to get free of the Nullvoid and Eggman escapes the city, leaving a major victory, but the war isn't over yet. The doctor fled to the Energy Tower where the Real Phantom Ruby is hidden. The resistance makes one final assault and where the final battle with Infinite and Eggman. If you gather the Chaos Emeralds, you'll get the true ending. It involves Sonic Going Super Sonic alone since the last battle involves Classic and Original, so he takes out the final boss once and for all, and it actually resulted Eggman imprisoned, but Infinite escaping. Classic retrieves the ruby and says his goodbyes before returning to the past, and they day is saved!
