Hello! I'm Samevi - just a guy wandering around here and there.
I was introduced to this forum through a Sonic HQ email promotion. Decided to check it out and thought it looks like a nice place, so I don't have any problems sticking around I think! Hah.

My personal favorite Sonic game is Sonic and the Black Knight. I think it's a horribly underrated game with excellent writing that's not too serious or too silly and gameplay that deserves to be remade for a modern era with waggle left far behind. For the most part, though, I love every other Sonic game as well (to the point where I played the entirety of Sonic 1 for the GBA as a kid... Still traumatized from Labyrinth Zone in particular, though).

I also play a lot of games that aren't Sonic - recently it's been a lot of Baldur's Gate 3, admittedly - so feel free to hit me up if you wanna talk games!

I've always thought Sonic and the Black Knight looked cool, but I was never really able to play it due to not owning a Wii.

It definitely has a certain charm to it. The hand-drawn cutscenes are beautiful! If you ever get the chance to try it out, give it a shot for sure!

Never played Black Knight because I never had a Wii at the time but I do have one now. Although I have no way of connecting it to my current TV without an HDMI adapter. I know the game got trounced in reviews(where as Secret Rings did ok), but I was always intrigued by the storybook titles.

I believe I was a member of Sonic HQ at least, but I can't for the life of me remember signing up. I know I haven't been here before, though, reading through the history.

Personally, I'll always prefer Black Knight over Secret Rings because it fixes a lot of the flaws that Secret Rings had... But it's also a good example of missed opportunity. The stages are railways in spite of having the nunchuck this time around, not to mention Sonic Unleashed had already come out to show how it's done on Wii. If you get the chance to play them, definitely go for it!
