PREVIEW INCOMING!
Seg Genesis yawned. He sat up in his comfy bed and stretched. After placing the pair of goggles that he always wore as a good luck charm on his head and putting on a pair of gloves that had a royal blue gem in their centers he got out of his bed and looked out his window. It was a bright and sunny day. Smiling, the hedgehog exited his room, but not before putting on his royal attire: a blue shirt and pants, a white chestplate with a blue gem in the center, white shoulder pads, white boots and a white cape that almost touched the floor. This was the usual attire that Seg donned whenever he was His Highness of Sol Castle.

Yes, Seg Genesis was adopted by Princess Blaze and Prince Silver. It all began when one night a wicker basket containing a small Hedgehog boy was found near the gates of Castle Sol. A guardsman had found it and reported it to Princess Blaze and Prince Silver. Seg had been their son ever since.

Growing up however, brought its own set of challenges. It was revealed that the hedgehog boy was able to manipulate chaos energy. However it was unstable, leading him to copy part of what something looked like or what someone can do. Of course, that quickly became a problem for the Royal Family so with research and their best MagiTech technicians on the job crafted a pair of gloves that inhibited the flow of chaos energy within Seg, allowing him to safely touch anyone or anything without incident, only emulating them when he really wanted to. 

He finally reached the royal kitchen, where his mother and father were sitting at their table, engaged in conversation. They noticed him and waved.

"Good morning, honey!" Blaze the Cat said, her voice exuding a motherly aura.

"Heya sport!" Came Silver's exuberant voice. "Ready for breakfast? Oh, Cooks!"

A few mice wearing chef's uniforms came out of the kitchen door, each of them carrying a cloche. As soon as Seg sat down they each lifted their cloche revealing a nice spread of breakfast: waffles, pancakes and even fried chicken greeted the hedgehog's eyes.

*I know that this looks like a lackluster preview, but remember, I stated that I was randomly picking a prompt to write. If I posted anything else then the mystery of the mystery (heheh see what I did there?) would be out there in the open. I'll keep plugging away at it!

There have been a number of car thefts throughout Sonic's native Japan, all across the country. What started out as a simple stolen car case in Nagoya turned out to be the beginning of a string of thefts from city to city. Why do police suspect that the thefts are connected? ALL of said cars were vehicles owned by street racers, all being modified vehicles of high performance. So far, only one clue has been found: at the location where the stolen car was last parked, a scrap of paper reading "X1" is left behind. Therefore, the police and public have begun to refer to the mystery thief as "X1." So far, they assume he's a Yakuza gang leader, stealing high-performance vehicles for his gang's gain or something along those lines. But there's no proof of anything as this "X1" has proven VERY GOOD at covering up his or her tracks, with not a single trace of any of the stolen cars having turned up.

What do you think? Sound like an action-packed mystery?

Well, I'm already on chapter 1 of this prompt. It'll get done when it gets done is all I can say.

Edit: Why does the super big smile face look like it's just laughing? Or is that just me? Idk. It's excitement though hehe

Genesis Detective Agency, Lumen Square, Sol Dimension
"Onii-Channnnn~ Let me play! You're too good at this game and I'm gettin' boooooored!" A kitsune sitting on the soft carpeted floor whined as the catboy sitting on the couch above her was engrossed in a game of CraftNite War Royale. CraftNite was a very popular videogame in the Sol Dimension to the point of it being a dimensional past time.

"Not yet Suni. I have to defeat....him," Aaron Kunai replied, his eyes fixed on the screen. He knew that the player he was hunting, one that was named N00BBu5t3r99 was in this match. He always showed up on the map when the catboy was in a match and would usually be the first victim of that player's onslaught.

But this time, he had a plan. He dropped into the far corners of the map and had been getting a nice loadout of weapons and armor. He worked his way into the inner regions of the map and defeated any that stood in his way.

However, there was no sign of the elusive player.

"You kidding me, nya?" Aaron said slowly. "He has to be here somewhere....

Incoming call! Incoming call!

"I'll get it, Onii-Chan!" Suni jumped up from her place on the floor and dashed to the phone. She answered it.

"Hello, Genesis Detective Agency. How may I direct your call?"

Silence.

After a while she said "Oh, Seg-san isn't here right now but Onii-Chan is here! Do you want to talk to him, Tails-san?"

After a while she literally shouted "ONII-CHAN! TAILS-SAN WANTS TO TALK TO YOU! HE HAS A CASE!"

"Sweet, nya!" Aaron said, dashing to the phone....

...and abandoning his game, leaving his character standing there. After a while, another character ran up to his, emoted in front of him and simply ran off.

That character...was N00BBu5t3r99.

Soon his character was returned to the lobby where a message from that player was waiting for him.

Interesting start. Definitely has me suspicious of N00BBu5t3r99 and any possible involvement with the new case. Maybe that's intentionally misleading too, but either way, it leaves things in a slight suspense with a curiosity in need of quenching! hehe
