Seriously! It's something I would suggest they don't ever consider doing for any reason whatsoever because it's not going to leave a good impression on our good old memories of what they used to be.

I think Futurama and The Simpsons approach fits quite fine for these two series; the context year gets updated, but the characters remain mostly the same.

Ageing characters could work, but I think that is best fit for a film or something similar that just gives closure to the show, not necessarily new seasons
