  If you're like me, then you have probably gotten VERY tired of all of the ads that YouTube has these days. Like every video seems to have multiple ads and popups and all this nonsense. Well on your desktop PC, I've found a very handy program that does away with all of that. You can view YouTube and subscribe to users without having an account. It bypasses all ads entirely. The only downside is you cannot post comments but I never really did that anyway. I'll post the link below.

  Sounds like the first true alternative method I've heard for that apart from having an Adblock, which I used to do until it began to block important things. If I weren't one to comment I'd likely do as you do with that, but I must admit I can be an avid participant in the comment section discussions sometimes! I've become quite annoyed with the ads of late though, and am fighting back the urge to give in and get Premium! If I do that, they win, and I can't have that. hehe!

  Yeah it's not for the big posters, although maybe you could use this to watch the videos then go to YouTube and post comments? That might be too much work though. Although there are adblockers that are customizable so only certain sites are blocked heavily and others that are important aren't. Although that also takes a lot of effort to set up.

  Yeah, and now in the age where you're likely watching Youtube on 3 or 4 different platforms, an adblock doesn't often help in more than one instance. I'm not even sure if I could get one for my Roku, which is the 2nd most frequently used device for me apart from my phone. Times have changed and Youtube ads seem to take hard advantage of it!

  I have just resigned to the punishment being given to us by YouTube. There's no running away from their ads for as long as you want to make use of their services, you must suffer the ads. With streaming services doing the same thing, I have nothing else to hope for.

  You are correct, I use Freetube since a couple of weeks ago and use it as much as possible but even for non-heavy users of YT it is hard not to use their website, ever.
  
  I dropped the Youtube Music app and youtube apps on my mobile devices, though. On my TV I try to use a client for it in FireStick but most of the time I use YT from my PC, but it is hard not to use the official client, specially if you are a creator of some sort.

  The thing I hate about YouTube are all of the suggestions. I will choose what I am interested in, I don't need them doing it for me. I use FreeTube on my PC exclusively and not having ads is great but like you said it's hard to never use their official client. We use it on our PS5 and it is ALWAYS jarring when I use it because of how many stinking ads they have!
