I have gone through :
- A FireFox starting around 2008
- An Opera fanboy around 2009-2013, I just left when they decided to switch to WebKit, it was more a decision about the looks and functionality than the technical aspect of the internal engine (which I care little as of today anyway)
- Then a Firefox user again
- Then a Chromium user, anything but Google Chrome..
- Then Edge when I started using it around 2020-2022 in my laptop, was honestly shocked with it
- The honeymoon was short-lived, as of today Edge is bloated, and I avoid it whenever I use Windows
- Around 2023 I started using macOS but always hated Safari (I used to use Safari in the school laptops since 2008)
- So I moved back to Librewolf mainly for being a Firefox fork
Now I'm thinking about moving back to Firefox because there are no Librewolf builds for some Linux distros I use, and honestly I avoid the terminal whenever I can.
TLDR; I have always been an Opera enthusiast at heart, have come to hate anything WebKit based, and ultimately always fallback to Firefox. - A FireFox starting around 2008

Sure, I moved to macOS mainly because I required Safari for some work, I almost forgot I was using Windows on a Macbook at that time xd
I still keep copies of Firefox and Chromium as portable apps for (in-case) using when on Windows.
Sometimes you can't avoid using more than one browser. -

I love Librewolf, for privacy reasons. There's a Flatpak version if not all distros provide it. Flatpak works on all distros, doesn't it? - A FireFox starting around 2008

I used to use Internet Explorer, but I've been using Mozilla Firefox since roughly 2016-2017 or so and haven't really looked back.
So far, Firefox hasn't let me down in regards to performance and privacy. -

firefox for me. i don't really have a reason to use anything else. i used to use google chrome once upon a time, but nowadays i only keep it on my desktop in case a site wants me to use chrome over firefox.
it is interesting reading through this thread and seeing all the different browsers that exist, though. i was unaware about a lot of these. i didn't even know there were different versions of firefox -

Firefox forever! I started out swapping IE for Firefox before Chrome was even really a thing, but I did swap to Chrome and later Opera for a while across the 2010s. Ended up back on Firefox in the end though, partially because Chrome has gotten so bloated and greedy on RAM over the years, but partly just because Firefox (along with it's various forks, of course) is one of the few non-Chromium browsers left out there and I want to support Mozilla as the only ones left fighting Google's browser (and general internet) monopoly!
Gets frustrating though, a lot of lazy web-devs out there now who don't check their sites properly in other browsers so you end up running into websites now and then that just don't work properly in anything that isn't based on Chrome.

FireFox is open source software, so it can be modified however you want. That's why there are so many different versions of it. Chrome is just spyware, it isn't a good browser for that. Usability is fine though.

I remember when I found out about it on like FF 3 or 4.... Chrome wasn't a thing and IE sucked, Netscape was gone too.
