  So after seeing @"Metallix"'s post about the fangames in Dreams I was wondering how many of you actually play fangames? I got a new computer last year and have been playing Sonic World and Sonic After the Sequel. The former is a bit buggy but fun and latter is fantastic. It's a legitimate way to enjoy Sonic games if you don't like the official ones. However, a ton of them seem to always be in limbo but there are tons of finished ones to choose from.

  I mean .... If you count things created in Dreams as a fangame then you have to include Mario Maker in there too, So yeah I play fangames.

  Played Mother: Cognitive Dissonance (CogDis) for a time. Was a pretty good game made in RPG Maker. Had a good story, did its best to tie up the loose ends between Mothers (EarthBounds) 1, 2 and 3.

  I'm pretty sure he meant like Sonic fan-games not just in general.

  Oops....then if you count things like Chao makers and FC makers then it depends.

  Anyway, to answer to the question. Not often. I've played the demos made in Dreams and SRB2 also a bit of stuff made from GameMaker but for the most part I don't because my PC sucks. lol

  Not sure if it technically counts as a Sonic fan game but there was this little thing called Freedom Planet.

  Yup this is what I meant. One I've been following is Sonic 06 Remastered. It's Sonic 06 using the Unity engine. Man, this remaster has so many things going on. Properly working Spindash and Custom Gems, Rainbow Gem and a cool Super Sonic, Tails having a good targeting system with Dummy Rings and his Tail Swipe from SA1, Silver is faster and has his Psychic Shot. I hope Silver gets the Psychic Knife and Super form playable too (Meteor Smash would be cool, but dunno if it's feasible).
