http://www.sega.com/games/game_temp.php?ga...os=nav_pldwnlst Has anyone seen that video yet? It's my first time seeing it and I'd have to say it's pretty tempting to get a Wii now.

That hasn't been done since Sonic 1. lol, it NEVER has happened like that after the first game. Unless there is some weird spin off on a console I've never heard of... Anyway this game looks awesome, I just wish it wasn't on the Wii or atleast an option to use a regular controller. I don't really want to use motion sensing for this... |

 Mwa ha ha, oh, my friend, you will rue the day you said those words, trust me. Once you play it, you WILL understand. Btw, have you checked out the new vids I found? If you watch those, just think about how much less fun that would be with a normal controller. Since you don't yet own a Wii, you might not understand right away, but trust me, this will be a great game, and it BELONGS on the Wii.

No, I've played the Wii before. I prefer a regular controller on a few games, some I prefer the motion sensing, and this is one that looks like I'd prefer a regular controller. I've heard you have to shake it to make him jump or aim to move him... Seems like it will be kinda not great.... Like that Sonic game that used the Eyetoy for PS2. You had to move your arms to make Sonic move and it really wasn't that great. |

Wow, you have the controls for this game WAY off. First of all, Sonic is constantly moving. You tilt the sideways held Wiimote to steer him. To jump, you press the 2 button, and to do a homing attack, you shake it once. If you need to back up, just tilt backwards. That's just a summary, but you get the idea. |

Well now it doesn't seem so bad. Shaking the remote to jump would be really bad. |

I would agree with you on that one. But pointing to move would be even worse, IMO. Knowing how the game works now, it looks a whole lot more fun, doesn't it? BTW, before you say you'd rather play it with a regular controller, make sure you try the game first. Then, after you have actually played it, I'd like to know if you would still rather use a normal controller.

I'm tempting my fingers on getting the game, even after all thats what I am. A game collector. *laughs* Really, though. The game looks, and consider fun as the producer promises to bring back the classic....erm, they said that in the last one. *ahem* The objective of the game really almost turned me off. I figure: "I can't call either, running as you tilt the pad left and right, lean forward to jump. Dodge etc, but for some reason it doesn't look very fun." after a few months, it popped out with new stuff like mini games. I was like sweet, and a new villian who looks mighty smexy and badass. |

It comes out tomorrow! And I have it reserved. I'm getting kinda excited about it! I'll be sure to tell you guys what I think about it, too. Who knows, maybe if I can pry myself away from the game long enough in the next few days, I might even write a review about it. But only after I've played quite a bit of it, of course.

Okay. I've had it for a week or two now. It didn't take me long to beat it, but I'm STILL playing it. I've EASILY spent well over 24 hours playing it. And what do I think of it? ...Spectacular. And it only gets better as you go. At the VERY beginning, I was frustrated, because I wasn't used to the controls, and in the very beginning, jumping slows you down. But the skills you earn and the practice you get QUICKLY make up for it. If you like Sonic, or even if you don't, and own a Wii, you owe it to yourself to get this game. It is one of the best 3D Sonic games I have ever played. It easily ranks with a tie for my favorite Sonic game, the other being SA2B. And you know what? It seems well on its way to beating it.

It's good, but I still think Sonic on 360/PS3 would have been better if they took their time to make it quality. Since it wasn't, I'd say this close to redeems Sonic. |
