Okay, after that's installed, download this. That's the event file I'll be referring to. Watch it. So after I looked at Valky's thread, I figured I'd make a small, crappy tutorial but one that should hopefully help people out. It's not the greatest and you can definitely find better ones, but I wanted to explain it my own way. Anyway, here we go. 1) Honestly, a lot of people start out with stick figures first, but I say screw that and draw in the polygons. So draw your stick figure, draw your polygons, do whatever you want. 2) A new layer and now you can start to flesh it out better. Make things fluid where they should be fluid and sharp where they should be sharp. CGTalk can help you out with drawing your figure. 3) Add clothes. :> Do whatever you want for the clothes, but don't make it so that the figure can't be seen, (meaning don't put a potato sack on the figure, unless you're trying to make the figure seem small or something). Here is a great tutorial for that. 4) Folds for clothes... These are fun. They're always, always, always logical, so if you don't think there's a crease where the leg is taught, then you're right, so don't draw it. However, there are bunches and bunches of creases where the body is folded (such as the armpit, the back of the knee, the crotch, and so on). 5) YAY! MY FAVORITE PART! Coloring is so much fun. :> Now, there's tons and tons of coloring tutorials all over the place, like on DeviantArt, or just google it. But how I do it is I start with a dark color and add highlights where they need to be. This is all covered in the file. :> So yeah, I hope this helps some of you (Valky) to draw figures.
