What if Maria was brought back? Maybe she never really died and Shadow meets this older lady and shortly after recognizes that she is Maria? And they have a flashback? Sounds like a good way to bring her back, imo.

They always come back. The only ones that ever died were the bad third-party enemies like Mephiles/Solaris, the bad guy from SatSR, and the Biolizard. And Black Doom. Metal Sonic doesn't count, because.. he's always rebuilt in some way. :\| It makes me wonder what direction the Sonic series would go in right now if Shadow stayed dead..

I still can't use this. Posts: 6,546 Group: Former Monarchs Member #6,722 Joined: March 16, 2008	In later games, however, dimensional crossing and time travel still does take place; Rush 2 and Rivals 2 being the notable examples. Now, in answer to the lingering question, if she actually came back... Well, it'd completely undo the ending of Shadow's game. It'd put yet another player in his background story considering someone who knew their connection would have had to have resurrected her. It would cause considerable backlash from the fandom considering few even like the ARK story.... With such apocalyptic premonitions, I'd like to look on the bright side by saying that I like Duck's idea. X3;; The prospect of him being tricked with her presence could prove to be potentially awesome. Edit: Now think I think about it, to what extent would that even work? Shadow's no Knuckles; He's a pretty smart cookie, and I think leaving his past behind would further cement the fact in his mind that she's deader than a dodo.

Sky Sanctuary Zone Posts: 5,933 Group: B Rank Legend Member #182 Joined: August 15, 2006	Maybe Maria was actally evil and had faked her death so after a time she could appear again and trick Shadow (She wanted him to save the world before she faked her death so he could think that she was doing it for the sake of the world.
