What it says on the tin. A place to discuss phobias. I have some normal ones, and some off ones. I'm scared of bees/wasps. Mushrooms really unsettle me, and I refuse to go near them. Blood (RL blood) from slices, even a papercut, can make me pass out. Also, vertical spaces. Not just heights, but heigh ceilings and even the sky if I look straight up too long. |

Whoa.... I have ALMOST the same fears as you, Finite. Heights kick me in the back end, as do wasps, bees and spiders or really big bugs. |

Things going wrong, change, losing people. I don't know if I would say it spans much further than that, but those three are rather huge, and sometimes all work together. When that happens, it becomes beyond terrifying. |

Wait a minute.....Those other fears Dubb was talking about? I'll come clean, I SORTA have those too. Before you ask, no I'm not kidding nor am i tacking on other people's fears. I hate losing people and hate it more when something that i'm used to suddenly isn't what it is. I hate losing people because some mean something to me, while others i have forged a bond/relationship with. Those somewhat scare me as much as Dubbmatic. |

Phasmophobia(Fear of spirits and ghosts).Dunno why this is one,I've always been afraid of near-omnipresent beings that can watch you(poltergeists)...Granted,I have been watching many things and hearing many things about ghastly beings.I've been researching the subject for some time now. Musophobia(Fear of rats)Ok...I probably inherited this one from my mother with her being a "clean freak" and all...something still gets me about diseased flea spreading vermin lurking in the shadows. Thanatophobia(Fear of death)Self-Explanitory,I know it's the circle of life,but who knows if there is truly an afterlife or is it just lights out until the sun swallows us.I also fear the death of a family member/friend. I don't have a lot of experience with heights, but I know that bees freak me out quite a bit, haha. I was parked in my car the other day when a bee flew near my window, causing me to quickly start the car and floor it in reverse. The dark makes me a little nervous as well, then there's deer. |

I'm one of those weird people who have never had a problem with heights. If anyone's like me and ends up in San Antonio for whatever reason, they should check out the Tower of the Americas; the view is freaking incredible. I do have a slight fear of the unknown though. Also, I'm pretty damn sure I suffer from Cleithrophobia - aka, the fear of being trapped or locked in. Recently, the door to the laundry room got stuck, trapping me inside. Scared the shit out of me. Thankfully there was someone else in the house at the time. >_> |

I have always been deathly afraid of tornadoes, deep dark holes, large crowds, and change. I think my fear of tornadoes and deep holes kind of stem from my own imagination, as neither one of these things had much of an impact in my life. I just find them creepy. But being an adult, I find change to be very scary. I will probably find change to be scary even when I am in my eighties, if I live to be that old. And large crowds, well, you can be mauled by them! |

It is a fairly common fear, as is the fear of blood. Neither of which I have, but to each their own. And RivalGator, your mention of holes made me remember Trypophobia, which, unsurprisingly, is the fear of holes. I suggest that no one looks this up, even if you don't have this phobia, for some of the images are very... disturbing, shall I say. |

Ehh this is a late reply but it's relevant to the topic I promise :3 my fears are clowns, mirrors, some urban legends (cause I'm a baby), dolls that open and close their eyes when you move them, and screamers. (Like, scary pop ups and stuff) so yeah >w> I might have a few others I can't think of. |
