On the other side of the cafe, a young wolf was busy writing something in a notebook. Every now and then, she would look up and tap her chin with the pen in her blue-gloved hands. It would be a few seconds afterwards that she would lower the pen back to the paper and begin writing again. After a while the wolf, Vesper by name, noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. She looked up to see Vestra entering the building and Cade waving her over. "Hmm, wonder what's going on over there." |

Vesper, who in all honesty preferred to be called 'Eve' - rolled off the tongue better, she had always said- looked up to see Aaron sleeping. She rolled her eyes, her ears pulled back in annoyance. "Doesn't he have a bed or something to do that in?" |

At the mention of the meteor shower, Eve stood up and walked over to where the two fellow Mobians were sitting. "I'm sorry, did you say something about the shower last night?" She propped an elbow on top of one of the empty seats. "Because I saw it as well. Beautiful stuff. It even gave me a few ideas for my novel." |

Eve arched an eyebrow. "So, let me get this straight." The wolf pushed her body away from the chair. "You're telling me that a giant burning rock actually changed direction in mid-air." She crossed her arms over her chest. "Sure Cade. That's totally possible." |

Eve rolled her eyes, her ears drawing back. "And now you're talking about spying on the people who indeed to do something about the meteor." She leaned forward, her ears snapping forward. "Do you really think that's a good idea?" |

If they're keeping something from us and not telling us anything about it, what would you do? "If they're don't tell us anything, people aren't going to find out. Simple as that," Eve stated, finding Aaron's question utterly ridiculous. "Either way, it doesn't give us the right to eavesdrop." Guys... you're making this whole thing sound so... nefarious. It's something different and I want to be part of it. Eve scoffed at Cade's words. "Nefarious? No, I" she pressed her fingers against her chest. "just don't want to get in trouble with the law. Now if you don't mind doing something illegal, than be my guest." |

Eve's ears perked up at Cade's words. "Oh? So you don't want to eavesdrop on them, you want to volunteer alongside them?" The wolf threw her hands into the air. "Than why didn't you just say so in the first place!? And here I thought you wanted to play spies or something." |

Eve let out a sigh. She brushed a tuff of dark blue fur out of her eyes. "Well, if that's all you want to do, than I suppose I could join you. But don't try anything funny, Cade." |

The wolf dipped her head. "Call me Eve, everyone else does." She crossed her arms over her chest, her head cocked to one side in bewilderment. "A String Mage? What, do you control marionettes or something?" |

The wolf looked over at the guitar case. "I see. That's an interesting ability." She slowly stood up. "As for me, I'd better go too. I have class in just a few. I'll see you all soon." |

Oddly enough, Eve was the first to arrive. The young novelist, carrying her satchel with her current project with her, nodded once to Cade in greetings. "Now, are you sure they're going to let us help out?" |

Eve set down a piece of equipment. She shot a ghost of a smile at Julia. "Ah, it wasn't much. Now, what do we know so far about the meteor?" |

Surprisingly little. Satellite feed indicates that the meteor group appeared suddenly just beyond the outer orbital ring, you know, what's left of all those Eggman-era space stations. Moving fast, but on a trajectory just to graze Mobius's outer atmosphere. Fast enough we couldn't analyze their composition on approach. About an hour before it would reach that point, one of the objects emitted some kind of pulse, disrupting the signals we recieved from the observing satellites. By the time we were able to reconnect, one object had veered off course and was already in the magnetosphere, which made it so we couldn't get precise data on its velocity then. Eve shook her head, confusion mounting inside her mind. "Okay, could you do me one favor in please explain that in terms I can understand?" In English: It was almost too fast to find anything out about, except where it was supposed to go; and when it changed direction, it basically blinded all the satellites until it was too far in to really pick up again. So we won't really know anything until we find where it hit. The wolf crossed her arms over her chest, one eyebrow raised. "So there was not a single satellite that picked this hunk of space stone up? Is that what you're trying to tell me?" |

Eve sat in one of the van's window seats, feeling the most comfortable being able to watch the world go by. It made her feel less like she was trapped with other people, for she had never been much of a people person. And when the van pulled to a stop, she let out a inner sigh of relief. "Whew. Glad that's over." |
