Oh boy, now this is what Aaron was expecting. The String Mage gripped his guitar, and held it like an Axe, the body of the guitar now aflame. He was ready to lay a beating to this.....being. The being threw the soldier at them, sure but Aaron was bringing up the rear. There was an advantage of being the last person in a group formation. |

Eve listened as the professor explained about the blood. She arched a curious eyebrow. "Well, what do you know about the blood? Is it human? Mobian? Wild animal? Or something else entirely?" Crack! At that sound, the wolf whirled around to look behind her. Her eyes widened at the sight of a reptile standing there. He was holding an unfortunate militia trooper by the head - the blood running down his face suggesting nothing good. For several seconds he stood there, staring at the group. The next thing Eve knew, she was dodging a solider that had been thrown at them. "What the hell!?" |

Aaron paced himself. He then focused more energy into his guitar. Then....The guitar changed shape in its body, still aflame. The guitar now resembled a true Axe. Aaron advanced to the front of the group, ready to defend these explorers from this monstrousity. "COME ON!! YOU WANT SOME?! COME GET SOME!!!!" Aaron shouted defiantly to the beast. The Axe he was now holding was aflame even more. Some might say that the String Mage's fighting spirit was fueling this fire that now consumed the guitar's modified body. |

Sure sure, here nor there explosions about something that equals nothing. Zed has heard these 'pet talks' before. 'Lets not jump the gun here' is what they called it. Push back every possible aspect for the sake of being right or just for no reason, really. That was until a pretty sound echoed into his ears. Zed slowly turned around, unlike everyone else who responded quicker. Also unlike everyone else, he was the only one that didn't move, or rather didn't have time to, when the solider was hurled at them. "Oof!" He shouts as the body collided with his own. He rolled back a bit as the solider contented its course. He laid on his back as he blinked a few times. He thought he saw a reptile of some sort, thinking for a moment that this being was the cause of the collision that just took place. "Ouch..." He uttered as he quickly sat up. His eyes were playing tricks on him. I mean, they have to be. Why on earth would he be seeing one of his crew-men holding a guitar shaped like an axe, not to mention that the instrument was set on fire. "I think I hit my head or something..." He comments, then realized he wasn't dreaming. It was at this moment that he decided to take action of his own. "Easy your hand, Mage." Zed raised his voice, or at least, a voice coming from him commanded. This voice wasn't his own, and clearly he wasn't speaking these words since his mouth wasn't moving. "Fear swells around it. We may have frightened it, so it is reacting accordingly." He adds, this time his mouth was moving, and that strange voice was gone. By now Zed had gotten up and walked towards Aaron and stood behind him, very close behind him and to his left. "Would you not hurl an armed being if they came approaching without warning, sensing they were trained to take down anything they encountered?" He asked, to which he simply waited for a reply, or be proven wrong by this beings next actions. |

Vestra blinked, then shook her head slightly. It was going to be one of those days. As the body sailed past her, she pressed the switch on her cane. The body of it formed itself around her leg once again, as she pressed another switch, turning the handle of the cane into a small revolver. "I was not anticipating a fight. Severe lack of foresight on my part. I have doubts that I will be able to accomplish much with this lack of firepower." |

The reptile glared at Zed as he got back up, and assumed it was afraid. "Lecture me not about fear, you that live in this coddled world. For... fear is what I am, it spoke as the trooper's weapon floated into his hand. Cade, Julia, and the professor had also been bowled over when the reptile threw the dead militiaman at the group, and were just now getting up. Julia seemed... paralyzed, somehow, by its gaze, as it aimed the gun at her. Cade realized, too late, what was about to happen. "No!" the cat screamed as the shot rang out... The professor, however, had recovered enough... and took the shot for Julia. |

"Ah... Well, I wasn't far off about it emitting fear." Zed replied to himself as it spoke to them. And then... Bang... The professor was shot. Now Zed realized why they brought him on this little field trip. Instead of rushing or engaging the reptile, Zed did the opposite and hurried over to the professor. He slides to a halt as his eyes quickly scanned for a bullet wound. "Professor, I need you to stay with me, alright?" He started off, regardless if the one he was talking to was dead or alive. |

The reptile didn't seem visibly inconvenienced by Vestra's small-caliber shots; ducking Aaron's strike and grabbing his arm in a crushing grip. "I'd hoped to see your world's champions... Are you truly the best to face me?" it taunted before hurling Aaron back to the rest of the group. "I hear you..." the professor grunted as Zed fished for the shots in his gut. By now, Cade and Julia were trying to put some distance between themselves and the freaky psycho reptile. |

"Good, that's very good." Zed replied. He took his eyes away from the professor to watch the reptile engage the group, or rather the other way around. They seem to be doing poorly as well. "Julia! Give me a hand here! I need to stabilize him so I can attended to the Singing Mage... Whatever he claims to be." He addressed her, feeling like he was needed everywhere, fighting off this thing while also treating the others. "Now professor, this may hurt a bit... A you may feel a lot of pressure." He tells him, redirecting his attention to the task at hand. He quickly fished out the bullet and pulled abruptly, knowing more blood would flow, to which he ripped a large chunk of his sleeve off and applied pressure to the wound. With his other hand he dug into his cargo-like pants pocket to get some kind of ointment. |
