I wanted to tell you all about an awesome new anime that I have watched recently. My one friend recommended it to me, and so far I like it, though I've only watched a few episodes so far.

It's called Arpeggio of Blue Steel (or Aoki Hagane No Arpeggio). It's an anime with a whole lot of Cuteness and Moe' and Cuddliness, and it's got great Action and Battles too from what I've seen too!

Also, some may say that it's a WWII meets the Future series. I disagree, I think it's the opposite of that. It's still good though.

The series takes place in the future around the year 2050, where global warming has caused many of the world's nations to sink beneath the sea, and the continents are much smaller than before. When humanity comes under attack by a strange new adversary called "The Fleet of Fog."

The Fleet of Fog is an army of WWII Dreadnaughts and U-Boats that have been enhanced with advanced AI systems and have been equipped with an arsenal of state-of-the-art futuristic weaponry. At first, they were only seen occasionally on foggy nights at sea, and were thought to be some sort of Ghost Ships, which is where they get their names from. Then, later on, the Fleet appeared in greater numbers, and became very hostile.
However, the Fleet of Fog, although powerful, do not seem to be too aggressive overall. In fact, they leave alone those who are on land. Instead, the Fleet created a massive blockade all across the seven seas, blocking all from traveling between nations and preventing anyone from getting in or out of their home continent. Those who tried to get past the Fleet of Fog's patrols, above water, underwater, or by air, have all met their doom by these Unmanned Warship's Heavy Buster Cannons and Spatial Distortion Weaponry. Their motives and purpose remains unknown, but they were still a force to be reckoned with.

Later on, the Fleet of Fog ships managed to enhance themselves even more. They developed "Mental Models" which are humanlike manifestations of the various Fleet of Fog Ships's Cyber Consciousness, which all resemble cute and cuddly and snuggly girls. The Mental Models are all shown to reflect the personality of each ship's central AI, and they are used to develop self-cultivation and overcome the ship's lack of human tactical thinking that they could not replicate until now.

With all nations unable to travel between, gain imports or exports, or anything else, the world soon fell into even more disarray. That is, until a Japanese group found a means to fight against this virtually invincible threat.

A small Japanese Military group called "The Blue Steel" manages to successfully capture a Fleet of Fog submarine called the "I-401," or "Iona," as her adorable Mental Model refers to herself as. Although the Blue Steel were unable to reverse engineer the technology used to enhance the WWII vessels into Fleet of Fog ships, or find out who or what created them in the first place, the did manage to reprogram Iona's IFF Drive (Is Friend or Foe), so that she now works for them. A captain named "Gunzou" is then assigned to commandeer the I-401 and keep an eye on Iona too. With Gunzou's tactical military knowledge and I-401's advanced weaponry, they manage to be the first to get past the Fleet of Fog's blockade multiple times, as well as manage to take down some of their strongest warships too.

Learning about their success, the Japanese Government assigns them to a new task. Their researchers have now managed to develop a prototype super-weapon that may be humanity's best bet to take on the Fleet of Fog at full force. However, they lack the resources to mass produce this super-weapon, and only the U.S. has that kind of resources, but the U.S. has been unreachable at this time. They assign The Blue Steel to go on a mission to deliver the super weapon to the U.S. and help them stop The Fleet of Fog.

The episodes have the Blue Steel facing in various Boss Fights against powerful Fleet of Fog warships, interacting with other allies and soldiers, trying to learn more about their enemy, and plenty more. The Boss Fights so far are just way too cool, and there's just so much cuteness too! Those Mental Models are such big fluffy sweeties! <3

I am not finished with all of it, but it is supposed to have 12 episodes, and two movies for it are coming out soon too. Man, I wish some good cuteness + action anime series would have more episodes already. Too many of them only have 12 episodes. What happened to the days when anime series would have over 100+ episodes (points to One-Piece and DBZ)?

So far I'm liking Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Any of you guys here like it too?

Also, I would like to ask a favor from for anyone who is my friend here.
If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it.
Thank you.
