Why has no one yet made a topic for this yet?

Well, this is another awesome Indie Game that used Kickstarter in it's development, and has finally been released. It's about a Knight who uses a Shovel as his weapon and tool, going on a quest to save his partner, The Shield Knight, from an Enchantress and her many Evil Knights. It's got that sort of Old-School Megaman Vibe to it, but with some sort of exploration Legend of Zelda-style platformer added in, and it's quite challenging too.

Anyone else here like Shovel Knight? I think that it's okay, though I liked Freedom Planet better. What's your opinion on it?

Also, I would like to ask a favor from for anyone who is my friend here.
If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it.
Thank you.

You spelt Super Mario Bros wrong there mate.
Also forgot to mention the Duck Tales like Pogo stick move.

Anywho I have a special place in my heart for 2D platformers and since Shantae is taking her sweet time to get released I may try this one out.

I thought it was Legend Of Zelda like in the way that collecting treasure is rather important, and how many times, what looks like just background scenery is actually something you can blow open to access a secret area or something. I have to admit it is also sort of Mario-like too. Never played Ducktales though.

I notice how at first, the game makes it seem like getting lots of HP upgrades and potions is a necessity, in order to survive the stages and boss fights, but later on, the game gets full of 1-hit KO hazards, making lots of HP and potions practically useless at that point from there on. Not to mention, the later stages often require you to stop, wait and think, whilst punishing any attempt to brute force or blind speed-run through.

Although I really dislike how the bosses are usually much easier than the stage they appear in.

Also, the OST is really fun to listen to. The original composer of Megaman's music even helped make the OST. I kinda wish someone would make a more "Modern-Sounding" remix of some of the tracks, but they are still good in their retro-sound nonetheless.

My favorite stages (both the stage and bosses part) were Propeller Knight's, Plague Knight's, and Tinker Knight's stages.

"I didn't use the whole thing ...."
Its funny how people are creating Megaman like games when the people that own Megaman don't think Megaman games will sell.
