I totally want this game. I've heard a lot of good things about it. Plus, it's by the same makers of another game series I enjoy, Halo. From the looks of things, I think Destiny will be about equally as amazing as Halo was, if not even better! |

If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it. Thank you. | |

After playing the Beta and seeing peoples first impressions on youtube, I can say without a doubt that I have lost nearly all interest in this game. The game seems to be under the mentality that difficulty and challenge are attained by sending wave after wave of dumb AI enemies at you rather then have them employ any tactics and it seems to recycle the 'protect object/area for x amount of time' objective way too often. The loot drops even don't look that interesting, the armour doesn't look overly all different from one another save for colouring and all the weapons seem to handle the exact same. |

Not entirely true. Most armour holds a similar asthetic based on the class you chose, but the higher up tiers tend to look vastly different to what you start with. Not to mention you can start using armour shaders once you hit level 20. Granted, there's not a whole lot to the game. You play through it once and then basically replay a lot of the stages looking for the best loot. It's got a sort of dungeon crawler appeal to it in that sense. The PvP stuff isn't that bad either. It's no worse than any CoD game you could slap into your console nowadays. Anyway, yeah, I've been playing it on and off since release. It's pretty fun despite the lack of depth. A friend of mine likened it to an FPS version of Phantasy Star Online. Based on his explaination it seems apt. All in all a game best enjoyed with friends, I'd say. |

I disagree somewhat. Sure the PvP isn't bad but comparing it to CoD leaves it severely lacking in Gameplay modes, Customization and number of playable maps. |

Yeah but CoD is CoD so... Customization is present within the perks your gear has. With enough time and effort you could assemble the best set-up for your playstyle. Not to mention your class ablilties on top of that. I consder playable maps to be a bit of a moot point. There's enough there and most are pretty well made. Makes memorizng them easier if anything, which gives good players a tactical edge. Gameplay modes... eh. All the essential ones are there. Kinda miss CTF but deathmatch in the solo and team varieties plus Control does it for me. |
