I wouldn't consider it the scariest game I've ever played, but holy hell is it jittery, fun, and addictive. Even after completing five nights and the extra two nights, the game is just lovely. All five animatronics are really cool and unique. I'd expect it to be a lot like some Chuck 'E Cheese's spinoff, but this game really has established an amazing story to it and some amazing features. I can't wait until more updates appear for the game, it's like the best strategic PC game I've played in a while. |

I checked it out, and I must admit, this game is quite the nightmare. I used to be afraid of animatronics like that in places like Disneyworld and Chuckie Cheese as a kid. I was scared out of my mind by the stuff on their rides like Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Carribean and other such rides, and I could not enjoy the place, unlike some other kids who used to find those places to be so fun. This game has capitalized that long-forgotten horror of mine so much more. Not to mention, seeing stuff like the animatronic animals take off their faces and show their robotic insides, or them suddenly appearing in a place that was vacant a moment ago, and you've got quite the terrifying experience.

I must admit, when I first discovered the game, I figure it was just going to be a undiscovered gem, but I'm amazed at the amount of fan art and attention its gotten. Its a good game and my favorite part about it is the style and art direction. It feels and looks like a older pc game. |

Yeah, the game is just very well put out and it's just a huge bottle of nightmare fuel. You'd never expect someone to make a game like this, but yeah, all it takes is just inspiration and a lot of hard work. The backstory of the game is also crazy. I love every bit of it. |

I've seen many youtubers play it but I've never played it myself. Also I haven't managed to get through the first five minutes of any video of this game since I tend to watch it late at night. >o< imma scaredy cat. I'm gonna force myself to watch one today, though! I've heard it has a lot of jumpscares. |

The great thing about this game is that it doesn't lose its appeal once the scares wear away. I'm not an iron-hearted person and thus scare easily, but the jump scares have a logic to them that- once you figure it out- it becomes far less scary and more of an amusing annoyance. But figuring out the logic of when the animatronics are coming is part of the overall strategy of trying to conserve power properly and stay alive. The more you play it, the more you realize that the unique aesthetics are just a cover for a really cool strategy game. I would suggest to people to actually force themselves through the initial creep factor so they can jump in on the fun. |

LOL, nice one there. Well here's the theory I recently heard. It's interesting, but I still think the game is scary with it now. Heck, I find it even scarier now. It's quite long, but bear with me please. It’s established very early on in the game that the animatrons will not recognize you as a person if they see you, and thus, your untimely, grisly demise is very imminent. On top of this, you’re entirely incapable of moving from one spot, and the UI remains regardless of if you’re looking at the camera or not. Combined with the fact that your death leads to a cut video feed, this all culminates to one thought. There aren’t five animatronic figures. Bonnie, Chica, Freddy, Golden Freddy, and Foxy aren’t alone. There’s a sixth. One that will phase out these decades old animatronics. You’re the sixth animatronic. These robot animatronics were equipped with an A.I. system but however, is is faulty, and on occasions they have attacked people, not realizing morale or anything. Rather than deal with humans constantly dying from these animatrons killing them all, Fazbear Entertainment developed a shiny new AI, that’s more efficient, understands emotions better, and most importantly, doesn’t incessantly kill everyone around you after dark. The reason why they would recognize you as an endoskeleton without your costume on and attack you is because that’s exactly what you are. The game has you taking the role of this new A.I. Animatronic, and the Fazbear personnel are watching live video feed to see how it does and see if it will work as the new replacement. The older animatronics are trying to get rid of it because they don't want to be replaced by this newcomer. Let’s start with the most obvious part, The video feed. Every time you die, it doesn’t cut to black. A video feed cuts to static. Why would a video feed cut, if you’re human? On top of this, why are you incapable of moving from that one spot? Because they don’t want a sixth animatronic running around when they’re supposed to be watching the cameras. Plus, your AI probably necessitates you being hooked up to a computer, as opposed to the other animatrons, whose only purposes are either entertain, or kill. Maybe this new one had its legs removed too, in case it ends up being a failure and so that it doesn't go rogue too, and since it's only purpose is to stay in place now and keep the others in line. Moving right along. Why are you constantly using power, even if you aren’t using anything, like the doors, lights, or cameras? Because animatronics need power too, especially a security bot of course. You’re kept inside the security office, because that’s the only facility you’ll ever use. You never see yourself as a human, ever ever ever. On top of this, why would all of the animatrons know where you are when the power goes out? Because you’re the one who made it go out on the first place, and since you’re the one keeping them in line, they need to get rid of you as fast as possible. Why does Foxy immediately go after you then? Simple. As far as he’s concerned, you’re the one who put him away in the first place. The security guard before you (the phone guy) was the one who put him in the “Out of Order” status. He wants revenge. So then why would the phone guy exist? He exists to give you a level of understanding for the situation you’re in. You’re a shiny new animatronic, you’re gonna phase out these decades-old animatrons, and the company wants to make sure you can behave better than the other animatrons. You don’t murder children out of the blue, you behave like a human, despite the fact that you’re a robot, and thus, you’re less of a liability than the other robots. Then, when phone guy dies, it adds a level of stress, to see how you handle stressful situations as a robot, and as you prove yourself, you prove that you’re capable of running on your own and can phase out the other animatrons. The animatrons don’t want that, they don’t want to be dismantled, and thus, they’re aiming to eliminate you. But why would you see the eyeballs and teeth in the gameover screen? This one’s simple. It’s obvious that there’s a level of artificial intelligence that plays into this game, and that’s what’s driving the animatrons. You, being run by a very advanced AI, are obviously different than the other animatrons. The other animatrons have no understanding of the concepts of failure, of guilt, of remorse, or of mercy, hence all the children dying, and the Bite of ‘87. You, on the other hand, do. To accomplish this, Fazbear Entertainment (which is a play on words, Faz Fazakas, whose namesake is used for Fozzie Bear, was instrumental in developing the animatronic parts of the Muppets) displays the picture of someone (heavily implied that it’s you) forced into a Freddy Fazbear suit, with only the eyeballs and teeth visible, implying someone died because of your failure. Now you, the fancy new A.I., with a shiny skeleton and everything, are in charge of keeping these rogue A.I.-driven animatrons in place. It doesn’t have to do directly with the theory, but here’s something that I thought was interesting. Now, a big point of FNAF is the Bite of ‘87, the detrimental incident wherein an animatronic figure (assumed to be Foxy) bit the frontal lobe off of a child, and lead to the eventual closure of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Most people would pass off ‘87 as an arbitrary date, but to those who know their history know 87 is a huge date for the history of artificial intelligence. In 1987, Apple and IBM released computers that were simple, had more efficient and powerful architecture, and were cheaper to buy, and overnight, crushed the funding for AI machines, that were very specialized hardware that was difficult to program for. Funding dropped like crazy, and the AI field died overnight. This is referred to as the AI Winter of 1987, the death of A.I. Yeah, its a bit long, and there might be some problems with this theory that I might not have noticed, but it does explain a lot. |

That's an interesting theory. Though I still prefer those that say the animatronics are possessed by the children that have been murdered and are trying to seek retribution by murdering night watchmen, since some believe that it was a guard in the first place that lured them in before their deaths. |

Apparently there will be some new and old faces this time, and some have gotten a revamp (especially Bonnie, WTF is wrong with his face now). There will be some other new features and rooms to watch as well, and you'll have to defend yourself in ways other than doors. |
