"F-cking love Doom." Vestra said as she put the finishing touches on a device she had worked with on her boyfriend, Gizmo. It took the idea of virtual reality and pushed it to a new level, allowing one to be IN a game. As a test, they converted the classic video game Doom for this device, and it was time to put it to the test. Gizmo was beside Vestra and held a big smile on his face. He was excited to try this out with his fiance because he loved the game a lot and wanted to see what it would be like to actually be in the game and be the character. He wanted the shooting to actually be in first-person. He waited for Vestra to set up the game as he breathed heavily. He was a bit nervous as well for anything could happen from this. |

Vestra nodded. "Alright, let's do this." She set up the game, and hooked it up to two cool-looking futuristic-y chairs. She sat on the one to the left. |

Gizmo sat on the chair on the opposite side and sighed heavily. He never really thought they were going to do this. He wasn't too savvy on anything hardware-related on video games so he depended on Vestra to make this all happen for them. He knew her well enough to know that she doesn't make mistakes often so he trusted the blueprints. He also thought about the possibilities of them getting stuck, but was not skeptical. Just about everything they get involved with is easily solved so if anything bad would happen, they would know what to do. He chuckled at the thought of doing this because he used to play Doom a lot with Vestra when they first began dating. He turned his head to Vestra with a bright smile. "Ready when you are, Ves," he stated as he clenched the chair a bit and rested his head so he'd be well enough secure while in an unconscious state. |

Gizmo watched Vestra black out before blacking out as well. Everything went black. He still had thoughts, but he could not sense anything. It's as if his was the only thing active now and all his nerves were taken away from him. He was worried, but he knew it needed time to load so he waited patiently for it to load. He felt a lot of stress suddenly ease into him in a wave. |

Slowly, everything faded in. The level had loaded, and it was time to kick ass and chew bu- Sorry, wrong game. <~> EPISODE I: KNEE-DEEP IN THE DEAD <~> The world materialized around her. She and Gizmo were in a very brown room with a blue floor. To the right was the view to a courtyard home only to a pit of radioactive waste. To the left was an entrance to another room, and opposite of them was a door. They both had pistols. [VESTRA] Health: 100 Armor: 0 Weapon: Pistol Ammo: 50 |

[GIZMO] Health: 100 Armor: 0 Weapon: Pistol Ammo: 50 Gizmo glared at the surroundings and saw Vestra. He had a big smile on his face as he pointed his pistol at the wall and shot it. He jumped like a little kid and turned to Vestra. "It worked, babe!" he exclaimed as he hugged Vestra. |

Vestra had a neutral expression. "...Yes, it did. Now, can we get started?" She walked towards the room to the left, picking up a blue health bonus that was in the corner. "Go ahead and get the rest of the power-ups in this room. I'll go into the room on the left, and get the ones on the left side of the room." Vestra said as she went into the room, and collected the pick ups on the left side, going around the pillar and not yet climbing the stairs that led to a pedestal with a large armor pickup. [Vestra] Health: 104 Armor: 001 Weapon: Pistol Ammo: 50 |

Gizmo nodded as he went inside the room and picked up the rest of the power-up's and eventually walked out of the room with himself prepared. He took another good look around the room. He felt a bit uneasy and overwhelmed because of his lack of knowledge in this game. "Ves, I'm not too clear on locations and stuff so you might have to help me know what's where in this game," he claimed as he looked at his weapon. He noticed how everything looked way more realistic than how the game was actually set up. It was if everything that surrounded them were real. Gizmo chuckled at her statement. He was not sure if she should feel happy to get all the armor or feel insulted by how incompetent she's making him feel about this game. He looked at the stairs and back at Vestra. "Hey, what's that supposed to mean? Think I can't handle this game?" Gizmo asked with a smile. |

Might as well wrap some bubble wrap around my ankles & elbows, kiss my forehead, and tell me to be safe," Gizmo said as he folded his arms and looked at Vestra. "You may be the smarter and stronger one, but hey, I'd like to feel...at least like a man, you know," Gizmo said looking down with a chuckle as he already seemed like he was being his typical self to Vestra. |
