I was skeptical that it would be worth watching but now it's confirmed to be written by the director who wrote the game's script! Now I'm more excited!

Last Of Us wasn't that appealing to me, and I doubt I'd be very interested in a movie about it. It wasn't that awesome or action packed or scary of a Zombie game.

I found Zombie games like Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead to be much better, and Resident Evil already has had multiple movies.
Be sure to check me out on Deviant Art to see some of my various drawings and artworks. http://hexidextrous.deviantart.com/

Also, I would like to ask a favor from for anyone who is my friend here.
If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it.
Thank you.

As much as I like Resident Evil(the originals and 4) and Left 4 Dead, their stories weren't even close to The Last of Us. The Last of Us had an impactful story where as those games meh. I'm playing through Resident Evil 3 right now and while it has a decent storyline it just wouldn't make that great of a movie. Resident Evil's movies really didn't follow the game's stories anyway and they were only alright.

Don't want to be a bit harsh here, but isn't it already a movie? XD I think the only great element of the game is the story. The gameplay is just kinda meh, but its story and atmosphere does hold the higher candle to a lot of zombie games. I just think, with the excellent story and...okay gameplay, mind as well call it a movie.

EDIT: Not saying I wouldn't be willing to watch the movie. Just kinda picking on the game. I really like the story and personally, I think the writer behind the game would be one hell of a writer for movies.

What? The gameplay is great, I think. At over 20 years of gaming it's in my top 5 of all games I've played on all systems. It's true survival with some horror elements. It isn't an all out horror like Silent Hill or Siren, it's grounded more in reality somewhat anyway. But there really aren't many survival games out there anymore. Resident Evil is just action, Dead Space is just action, all these great franchises that started out as survival horror games have morphed into lame and boring shoot em ups. Maybe that's why I like it so much the genre is sparse now days. But the gameplay doesn't really fall short of any classic or modern survival game and it can be really freaking hard. Plus the MP is fantastic, not the same spray and pray game as all those other online shooters and ACTUALLY requires tactics. It's more like Socom II. As far as the game being a movie, it isn't MGS4 with 90 minute cutscenes, it just does story telling way better than other games.

As far as the movie is concerned the story is pretty decent in the game, it can have some predictability though, but I'm sure the movie will bring about more depth. They'd have to, there isn't enough script in the game to make a full blown movie. lol

I don't know, I just don't think the gameplay's too special. It's not necessarily bad. Just meh.

Ha ha, just kidding. I'll be sure to go watch it, I played the game at my friends house and it was a comfortable experience.
Gonna dropkick it.
