Hey everyone, I wanted to show this new Indie Game that's finally been finished and released on Steam. I've been waiting so long for it, and now I'm really excited to play it! It's called "Freedom Planet" and it has been in development in a while now, but finally it's now done. You can now buy it on Steam Network, and they're are looking into making it available on other platforms too. Here's the Trailer for it. Also, the official website, where you can see more about its specs, and download a free demo to try out beforehand. http://freedomplanet.galaxytrail.com/ Basically, it's a really awesome 2D Platformer about a group of heroes named Lilac, Carol, and Milla, who must save their planet from the Warlord, Brevon, and his various underlings. The game is an original title, but it takes heavy inspiration from games like Sonic, Gunstar Heroes, Megaman, and Mischief Makers. The levels are just packed, and the boss fights are awesome too. If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it. Thank you. | |

Steam works on my PC, but currently I don't have enough money to afford this game. Hopefully I'll be able to get it soon though. I saw some gameplay footage on some other places, and from the looks of it, it looks totally up my alley, although it also looks very tough, but not frustrating. I think my favorite character would have to be Milla. Milla's playstyle looks similar to Marina's in Mischief Makers, since she mostly grabs and throws stuff at enemies. By the way, recently I drew some Fan Art for the game. What's even more cool is that on DeviantArt, one of the actual game developers told me that he liked it even! Thought I'd mention this. Check it out. It's of my most favorite reoccurring boss in Freedom Planet, Syntax !

Hmm, I can definitely see the Sonic influences in this game, most notably in the level design. Does look pretty damn snazzy though. Maybe I'll give it a try one day. |
