Live updater for Twitch Plays Pokemon The adventure so far As I'm sure many people have heard of the newest craze sweeping the internet, Twitch Plays Pokemon is... probably the most unique thing I seen in a while. In Twtich Plays Pokemon, thousands and maybe millions of people try to play the original Pokemon Red all at once, trying to coordinate Red's movements and actions to make progress in the game. The results are rather inspiring, hilarious, or awful. Tons of people have managed to unite to make progress, trying to outbalance any trolls. But at the same time, the simplest tasks may take hours due to said trolls. Jumping off a ledge could mean hours to return. Pokemon accidentally get released. In one case, Red got stuck between a table and a defeated Pokemon trainer which meant that the only way out is to grind against Pokemon until the Pokemon kills themselves with Struggle. As you can tell, this is rather hilarious, yet your brain cells may also rot realizing how hard it is for people to work together. Despite so, it is becoming a phenomenon across the internet and world, even being noticed by public news media. Discuss all things regarding Twitch Plays Pokemon. From Lord Helix to Bird Jesus to all the hilarious memes from the internet. RIGHT NOW IN TWITCH PLAYS POKEMON AS OF THIS POST They are trying to beat the Elite Four and the Champion. The farthest that they got was to Blue but they lost. The most memorable part of this Elite Four run was when they managed to defeat a Dragonite with an underleveled Venomoth. Tumblr memes are making everything from TPP so hilarious. Quote: Here�s why: In Gen 1, the AI programmed for opponent trainers has a main objective of using supereffective moves. These were determined not by the move�s base strength, but by the type matchup. Lance�s Dragonite has 4 moves: Slam, Hyper Beam, Barrier, and Agility. ATV is a Poison type- meaning it�s supereffective type matchup was Psychic. Barrier and Agility are Psychic moves, while Hyper Beam and Slam are normal moves. Basically we tricked the AI into thinking it was super-effective attacking us, when really it was slowly poisoning itself to death. And that�s how we beat a fudgeing level 61 Dragonite with a level 36 Venomoth, good day. I gotta admit, this seemed incredibly stupid when I first watched. If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it. Thank you.

Not going to lie, didn't think they would do it. Kind of excited to see their second generation playthrough. But aww man. How are they going top top bird jesus and Lord Helix?

Impressible. I'm pretty divided about this whole thing. On one side it's stupid. On the other it's hilariously stupid. I don't know, I feel this should be a pretty one time thing. I can't see how playing the more recent one's will keep any of the charm, if anything it will make it more fake since everyone is already aware of how it works. It can only get more Meta from here on.

They could have had it done in under a week if it wasn't so popular by the end and riddled by people purposely messing with it. I'm not really sure I'm ready for another TPP. I doubt that, considering the system they originally started with was sort of not really different then a complete random move generator. They tweaked it as they went along so it is actually reasonable yet still having that chaoticness from the chatroom. Basically preventing players from pointlessly opening up the menu repeatedly for no reason I believe. I didn't watch much of the last one prior to the end but excited to see this one. Also this is probably one of the best things I saw. XD Someone charted the development of various "religions" throughout the run. It's pretty... thorough. Welp they started their Crystal run. Have no idea what's going on other then the fact they picked totodile. Damn, work. D:

Their Crystal run has started. They spent all of today trying to follow a very linear path in a gym where you'll fall into a pit if off... and as of when I just checked, have struggled. When they finally did get to the end, they lost and now have to go through it again. Welp.

The mob managed to beat Kanto pretty quickly, but that's not the surprising part. The real surprising part was that they fought Red, three times to be exact. Even crazier still is that the game was modified to make Red's team the same as his endgame team from the previous playthrough. But the real kicker is this: After being defeated for a third time, the stream went down. When it came back up, two crazy changes happened: 1) No more Democracy mode (for now, at least) and 2) a countdown showed up and tells us that Twitch Plays Pok�mon Emerald will begin in less than 7 days. Many people are taking this to say that Lord Helix has become angry with AJ's team's attempts to kill him so he'll end the world in 7 days. Looks like shit just got real.

Notable stuff that happened along the way: They used a Master Ball on a Goldeen, saw a shiny Larvitar and ran from the battle immediately. Surprisingly they're at Red in less than two weeks. But oh my god, in before Hoenn is actually the new world.

Here's the epic final battle: Some of the things that make this feat even more awesome are how they did it with only five 'mons and the 7-day limit until the end of the world proved to be more than enough time, since they made it in less than 24 hours! Glad I was finally there for the end of a playthrough, even though the stream lagged pretty badly for me. The stream is still up last I checked, so the Crystal run will probably still be up for the next few days until Emerald begins.

Has the best region with the best Pokemon design-wise. Plus Rayquaza's Tower is going to be hilarious. Also curious how the Mach Bike is going to work with the Mob.

I didn't keep up with Crystal as much as Red, but I'll definitely be trying my best to keep up with Emerald.

I tend to like stuff like that. Hoenn is going to be a nightmare though given how open ended it all is. Hoo boy.
