Angel Island Act 1

What are your favorite Sonic moments? One of mine is when Sonic defeats Dark Gaia, and his power begins to drain. As he's losing consciousness, he gives Chip a weak smile and a thumbs up before he plummets towards the lava. It's moments like these that really make a Sonic game for me. |

My favorite moment was the S3&K cinematic after The Doomsday Zone when Sonic restored the Master Emerald to the Floating Island and it started flying upward again. |

Blue streak, Speeds by... SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!
|
I loved the ending of SA2. Sonic seems the way he usually is, saying "let's go home! to a planet as cool and blue as me!" but then he turns around, looks to the camera and, with wave, says goodbye to shadow. It's a moment like that, a real feeling from sonic, that makes you think he grew up a little bit. and then shadow the hedgehog the game came and totally killed that "real" moment for me. |

The opening cinematic of Sonic Unleashed. Oh, where do I start? Has there ever been another opening in the series that has come close to the sheer scale of greatness that this one reaches? Not to me. The way Eggman suddenly ceases his exultant laughter when he notices the hedgehog has arrived, complete with a giant blaze behind him and how he orders everything to fire on him before getting into a mech himself really shows how much the doctor considered Sonic a threat. How Sonic so effortlessly avoids all the firepower that comes at him was nothing short of badass. Even when it seems that Eggman has gotten an advantage by grabbing him with his mech, Sonic used the Chaos Emeralds to turn into Super Sonic and break free from the grasp! And the way he pretty much lays waste to Eggman's fleet was simply awesome. But Sonic's own arrogant nature gets in the way as he is deprecating Eggman, allowing the doctor the perfect chance to turn this to his advantage while the hedgehog is distracted. Cue Sonic getting trapped... and then hit with powerful electric rays that freaking suck the emeralds' power out of him! Let that run through your head people - Eggman defeated Super Sonic. Not many characters attest to that accomplishment. And while Eggman continues to electrocute Sonic the world is freaking broken apart. And not only that, we get our first glimpses of Dark Gaia, interchanged with shots of Sonic transforming into the Werehog. - my god, this was such an awesome opening. The high quality of the CGI and the wonderfully composed music do nothing but add greatly to an already fantastic scene. Unleashed's opening cinematic positively drips of a sense of splendor that is going to be very hard to top. |

Eh. When Eggman blow up the moon in Sonic Adventure 2. My god. The build up to it and then the countdown after the shot. The tension. The drama. It was quite the memorable roller coaster ride from start to finish, I would choose the whole game, but what fun would that be.

Fear the cold...

These are all pretty great, and I have to agree with Blaire that Sonic Unleashed had the best opening sequence for anything period. However, I still think that Ithe Egg Dragoon battle in Generations was amazing. The entire sequence, from dodging blasts of fire and ice to falling in to that hole where you make sure that it hits the ground, everything was just about perfect. |

Angel Island Act 1

I think that the opening cutscene to Unleashed is one of the greatest things to ever come out of thus franchise. We need an action-packed Sonic movie with that kind of CGI. |

The Metal Sonic Fight in Sonic OVA will always be my favorite. My mind was blown the first time I saw it. WAY better than anything I watch from Sonic X. |

Jake is fine, I'm just filling in for him.

My favorite sonic moments are the original sonic cd intro and credits because it shows sonic being a Bad@#! and the ps3 port has the lyrics removed. |
