The truest of Lycalos

It was a time of peace for Twilight the Lycalo. It had nearly been a year since the tyrannical crime lord named Antonio was incarcerated with the help of a few of the wolfbat's friends. Sine Twilight worked as a criminal tracker, work was slow for him as crime had become scarce and affording his house had become difficult. Luckily the police chief known as Tank still provided him with enough funds to allow the hybrid to keep his residence. Considering the officer was aware of the living nightmare and knew Twilight could keep it contained, lending the money was of little issue. On a sunny afternoon in Station Square, the sky blue Lycalo was wandering through the somewhat busy streets. Perched on the top of his head was a small gray creature who's curious eyes watched the numerous people pass by him. He was a Chao that was found by the hybrid a few months back and had been given the name Champ. He had reached the end of his life cycle shortly after being adopted, but fortunately the love and compassion that was bestowed upon him allowed him to reincarnate back into an egg, where he hatched a week later. Now he was nearing the end of his infant stage and would soon grow into an adult. Now his yellow emotion ball floating above his head was in a constant question mar as his head turned in every which way. |

Yvette was walking within the city streets, on her way to a convenient store that was close to her and Fotiagos' house. She kept her eyes a bit peeled as she still did not trust the city. Everyday, she used to be able to point out a drug deal without even having to think. Today, it seemed like a happy day so she kept a positive mood. She saw a blue Lycalo from down her area and smiled as she kept looking up. She didn't know if he could see her from there so she kept walking. She walked towards the convenient store. She was only there to get something to munch and drink on since it was a pretty boring weekend for her. She looked at the people walking in and out. She still looked insecure. It was like someone was after her, even though nobody was at the moment. |

As Twilight ventured forth in his aimless wandering, his large and highly acute bat ears flicked about as a pang of familiarity enveloped his overly keen nostrils. Out of all the many scents within this area, one stuck out from the rest. The wolfbat turned his head to catch a glimpse of a green wolf heading towards a convenience store. A small smile stretched across his white furred muzzle as he recognized her as Yvette, someone he had not seen in some time. "Hey buddy." he called out to his companion perched along his head. The small bubbly gray creature looked down at his master with wonder filling his eye. One of his digit-less dark blue hands were brought to his mouth. "Chao?" he responded, the only audible word he can speak aside from his toddler-like gibberish. It seemed he was perfectly capable of speech however. "You wanna meet an old friend of mine?" the Lycalo went on to ask with a smile. He was replied with what can only be described as Chao chatter in conjunction with a series of cheerful claps. With that, the cyan hybrid spread out his cobalt blue bat wings and took off for the sky, flying somewhat low to the ground and a small distance above the crowd. Champ remained rooted where he was, gripping onto the arched bangs on Twilight's forehead. He proceeded to fly above the canine officer. "Hey. Yvette. Up here." he called out, speaking loud enough to be heard and waving his arms about to further get her attention. |

Yvette looked up, surprised that Twilight even noticed her out of all of the civilians within the premises. She gave a bit of a giggle as she saw the Chao with Twilight, noticing that Twilight hasn't changed much. She flicked her hair a bit to the side so it wasn't covering her left eye. She gave a wave of her arm as she turned. "How's it going, Twi? I see you have a little friend there," she greeted back as she sat on a cinder block. She signaled for Twilight and the Chao to come down to her with her arm since she felt like they haven't talked in a while and it was a good time to do so. |

On command, Twilight lowered himself to the ground and stood in front of Yvette. "Yup, you might wanna brace yourself." he stated with a chuckle. With only that warning, Champ decided not to waste any time meeting this new friend. Usually, he would slowly fly up to those he didn't know and stare at them curiously before letting his friendly disposition be known. Since he already knew the canine was a friend of Twilight's, he instantly sprung into action. With an excited screech, the Chao flew towards Yvette with surprising speeds utilizing his large cyan and blue wings. If she wouldn't react within the next couple of seconds, Champ would latch onto her face and nuzzle her happily. Twilight couldn't help but let a few laughs out as he watched the silliness of his buddy. Yvette caught the Chao, but gave into her arms so she can let the adorable thing hug her and she hugged back. She had a bright smile as she hugged the Chao. She giggled as she nuzzled against Champ. "Aww, who's your friend here? I've never met him before," she stated as she nuzzled against the lovable Chao. She looked back at Twilight with her sapphire blue eyes and waited for an answer as the Chao was latched onto her. |

Twilight continued to laugh, but it soon turned to a smile of admiration as he watched the little guy and Yvette. "His name's Champ, a Chao I found a few months back all alone and sad in the forest. I searched for his owner, but after like 2 weeks, I just gave up and adopted him myself. I think he's happy with me." The Lycalo said with a chuckle. Champ continued to nuzzle the canine, then made an attempt at crawling up and plant himself on the top of her head. It was always his favorite place to sit on people. He was about a foot and a half feet in height and it made him feel so tall up there. |

Yvette slowly stood up so he wouldn't fall off. "He's adorable, haha. I've only seen a Chao a few times in my life. I've always wanted one, but I always heard that it was a lot of work taking care of them," she said as she looked up at Champ. "Cute name, though. He really does make a good friend," she claimed. She looked back at Twilight with a bright smile. "So, what have you been up to lately? I've been getting some snacks and stuff for me and Fotiagos since it's a weekend and we're doing nothing. Just ate lunch not so long ago so I'm getting some drinks and stuff," she explained. |

"Thanks. I've never even heard of them before I met this guy. Had to resort to the internet for some information." he stated. Yvette mentioning Fotiagos resulted in a puzzled look on the Lycalo's muzzle. "Oh, Fotiagos. Yeah, I almost forgot his name was. I knew his name as Thermos for the longest time. As for how I've been; nothing much has changed. Work has been slow, but in happy news, I proposed to my girlfriend, shortly after Antonio was put in jail at that." he stated, blushing just from the very thought. How's Therm- er, Fotiagos been by chance?" (One thing I've added to Fotiagos recently, is that he uses a fake name with strangers, so let's just assume he used this on Yvette at first.) |

Yvette paused. She had a very glassy look on her face as she heard the lycalo speak to her. "W-wait, you're saying his real name isn't Fotiagos and he still hasn't bothered to tell me who he was, even after our relationship began?" she asked, puzzled as well. She wasn't sure if she should feel angry. She sighed as she looked up at Champ on her head still. "H-he's fine, it's almost as if he's a normal person and never even experienced what we've all gone through. Congrats on your girlfriend, though. You've come a long way. Especially at how the first time I met you, I was choking you half to death to make sure you wouldn't hurt anybody and you would stay calm," Yvette chuckled, a bit nervously as she felt it wasn't necessary to say. [Surprised I remembered that, lol.] |

(How can ya not lol. Also, I may have worded something weird and there may have been a misconception. I was implying Fotiagos uses Thermos as a moniker of sorts against those he doesn't trust quite yet. I'm thinking perhaps when he and Yvette were in that old house of hers is when he told her his real name is indeed Fotiagos. Sorry for not really clarifying that.) Twilight had a look of confusion as Yvette spoke. One of his ears dropped somewhat and his head leaned to the side somewhat. "Oh, no. His name is Fotiagos, no worries there. He just told me it was Thermos. I only know his real name because I overheard you saying it. Surprised remembered that." He said with a chuckle. "And thanks. The marriage is actually in a couple months. You and Fotiagos are more then welcome to be invited." He informed her with a gleeful smile. He rubbed his neck briefly as he easily remembered that. "I'm happy for you 2 by the way. It's pretty awesome you guys are still together. I've gotta see him myself some time soon." He stated. Champ had stood up, one of his hands near his mouth as he continued to stare off into space. Then in an odd and humorous sight, he began beating his chest much like a gorilla. He was given a variety of animals while in the Chao Garden and had developed certain behaviors as a result. He even had a number of animal parts when Twilight first met him, although these were recently removed with the uncanny ability of the Skeleton Dog. |

"Why don't you come over for dinner tonight? Your future wife is invited too. It'd be like a reunion since the first time we've all met..." she said as she watched Champ having his fun. She giggled. She looked back at the lycalo and waited for an answer. She had a feeling it would be a nice night for all of them if he joined. |

Twilight had a look of concern on his face at Yvette's suggestion. "That sounds awesome and all, and I'm sure we'd all have a hell of a time... but I... uh... can't really do nights. I'd rather be invited to dinner then make dinner out of everyone." he replied with a nervous chuckle, both of his ears drooping slightly. Champ stopped what he was doing and stared off into space once more. It suddenly looked as if he was going to sneeze. His face scrunched up and he took a few deep inhales. One would expect such a small and adorable creature to sneeze rather cutely. Of course for Champ this wasn't exactly the case as once he let out his sneeze, he unleashed a cone shaped torrent of fire that had decent range. While Yvette wasn't in the line of fire, it would likely spook her. |

Yvette flinched a bit as she felt and saw Champ sneeze. She chuckled and then, looked back at Twilight. "Y-yeah...I forgot...have you found anyway to control yourself since then? Either way, we could just have a lunch together tomorrow since that seems like the best time," she claimed with a light smile. |

Champ wiped his mouth and nose area before sitting down atop Yvette's head. The Chao started fiddling with her hair, mumbling toddler like sounds under his breath. Twilight thought for a second and nodded a few times. "Tomorrow afternoon can definitely work if you guys aren't busy. Chances are I'm free Sorry about my certain... predicament. I just haven't found a way to control it. Although I can control it into not attacking my fiance, so that's some progress" he replied. |
