Good vibes.
I like Star Trek. I haven't seen a majority of the tv episodes, nor a majority of the movies (though I'm working on that).

TOS films

Next Generation films

The "Reboot" films

So, have a topic about Star Trek. Yay!

'Ello, lad!
Jeez, haven't watched anything related Star Trek in years, I used to have the majority of the movies on VHS. Love Star Trek a lot, but it's been so long and yeah, there's that Star Trek VS Star Wars thing and I just love them both. I'm a Sci Fi kinda guy.

Same here. I love Star Trek and Star Wars both. They both fill their own parts of my sci-fi love, Star Trek the realistic side and Star Wars the fantastical side.
I reduced the lag by putting the trailers into spoilers.

Also, I have seen the first 6 films (the TOS films) at this point, so I might as well give my thoughts.

I like all of them, though to differing degrees.

The Motion Picture, while it has nice effects and a nice story, moves at a snail's pace. The lingering special effects shots go on too long for my liking.

The Wrath of Khan and The Search for Spock I like equally, which is to say very much. From a quality standpoint, these two are my favorite, alongside Star Trek VI. Great action, awesome music, memorable villains.

The Voyage Home is funny, which I like. Though, I prefer my Star Trek in space. You know, among stars. It's still a great film for what it is, though.

The Final Frontier is my favorite purely because of how fascinating I find this film. It's considered the worst, has a novelization that fixes the majority of the problems, and has two videogames (one for DOS and an unreleased one for Gameboy). Also, I really love the music. So, if asked for a favorite Trek film (so far), I'll say this one.

The Undiscovered Country is one I consider as good as II and III. Again, great action, great suspense, great mystery, just all around great.
