 Everybody and their grandmother talks about final fantasy. Yeah, FF came out with some great games in the past and has had some ok newer titles, but no RPG series will ever compare to the obscure, crazy, wacky and wonderful little gem that is the Mother series, better known as Earthbound here in the states. For those of you unfamiliar with this amazing series, if you have ever played the super smash brothers series you have been at least partly introduced to it; it's the place where Ness, Lucas and Porky(the boss Lucas faces in SSBB) originate from. For those of you who do know, then you realize why I've made a thread about this series.

Between is trippy battle backgrounds, crazy odd enemies, enjoyable gameplay and some of the most truly evil villains in the world of RPGs it has a lot going for it. The stories of the games are absolutely wonderful, with Mother 3(which I still want an official translation for if your reading this, Reggie.) being one of the most heart wrenchingly sad yet beautiful narratives I've ever seen in a game. Thus, I have decided to make a thread devoted to all things Mother related. If you've ever played any of these games then feel free to post anything you want about them. If you haven't, then, well, let me wet your pallet with what has to be the most nightmarish and terrifying non-horror game bosses ever created. This boss is one of the most infamous in RPG history. Not for his difficulty level or coolness but because he's just so darn disturbing. But that's enough talk...time to get lost in the darkness that is...

 I've played the Mother series, and I have to say, it has to be one of the most trippiest, but interesting RPG's by Nintendo ever. I recall some pretty weird stuff happening in those games, such as for instance, when they hallucinate that they are in a distorted city called "Moonside," or when they fight against things such as "Master Belch" and "The Titanic Ant." It's so weird, but I still like it.


And yes, Giygas is absolutely Terrifying!

Also, I would like to ask a favor from for anyone who is my friend here.
If someday we meet in person in the near future, and I had recently done anything that would confirm that I had become a Brony (which as of now I am not one), such as if I had posted on a Pony-related fan-site, drawn a Pony-themed artwork, contributed to a Pony fanfic, or anything else along those lines. If I have done anything like that, I want you to punch me in the face without warning. This make sound like I'm joking, but I am absolutely serious about this. Ignore any future statements retracting this if I ever make any. Though if you do, please first confirm that it is me who is doing it, and not some Brony who is posing as me and wants to see me get punched. I do not wish to go down the path of the Bronies, and hopefully those of you reading this will help me so that it stays that way, if god forbid I ever even attempt it.

 Now I have yet to play any other game in the series besides Mother 2/Earthbound but that game... Boy it's one epic RPG for sure. I still think The Place is a much more creepier song than Giygas' theme, his theme is just eerie while the place is actually creepy. x_X I've been meaning to play through Mother 1 and 3 but just haven't got around to doing so...
