Today we will discuss and decide......... THE BEST SONIC THE HEDGEHOG GAME ENDING! or T.B.S.T.H.G.E . Mine is the ending to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Dat freaken 16-bit orchestra music was amazing. I felt the most empowered completing Unleashed due to this ending, although I also really like CD and Black Knight's endings too.

Though, as much as I like Shadow, I honestly wish they would have let his supposed "death" sink in before bringing him back, or perhaps just kept him dead altogether. It would have meant a lot more to the characters if that happened. Alas, this is Sonic, but that doesn't take away from my attachment to the game. I think it's a well thought out story that still holds up well today. I think it was the first video game that had me legitimately scared (though, back then, any "Earth is going to be destroyed" stories had me dreadfully afraid, hehe).

Even though SA2 is probably my fourth favorite sonic game, it is the only ending that had any real emotion besides the feeling of beating a game.
