The fox stretched his arms out as he sat high on a tree branch of a tall tree. The morning sun shimmered against his golden fur as it rose over the trees of the cold woods. Leaves covered the forest floor as they slowly fell from the trees above. A radio rested by the young fox. He had spent all night trying to pick up a signal from any station. Television wasn't a common thing on this island so the best way to get any news was from a radio. Thunder Island is well known for its attraction of thunder storms. The thunder storms are what made it difficult to get a signal. That, and the island was fairly isolated. There was a radio tower that could be seen from afar above the treetops, alas it wasn't the strongest. The signals would come and go. Many of those who control, and/ or adore lightning reside on this island. A muscular lion with a dark black mane stepped out from a small wooden shack from below. He cupped his hands around his mouth and hollered. "You got anything yet, Kintu?!" Kintu's ear twitched as he heard the shout from his adopted father. He looked down from the branch and called back. "Not yet!" The lion huffed and kicked a few leaves off the ground in disappointment.

Launch Base Act 2 Posts: 348 Group: A Rank Guardian Member #13,463 Joined: February 28, 2013 Gender: Female Xbox Live Gamertag: Naomi Kitsune Steam ID: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040096149 Game Currently Playing: Lots of games	Meanwhile flying not far away from the island, purely by coincidence, was the L455HF Mech, a relatively small mech it was though. it was being piloted by a light blue fox that had darker blue markings on his face and ears. a few tears rolled down my face as I had recently abandoned my home as it was lost by war. Not sure if I was being pursued still I decided to head into the nearby dark clouds . As soon as I enter the clouds I immediately start fighting the controls as my mech is buffeted by the heavy winds. "It was to be expected" I thought, "at least nobody would think to look for me here-" my thoughts are cut off as suddenly the mech is struck by a rather large bolt of lightning and I immediately lose control as the flight thrusters are short circuited. Falling through the clouds I spot an island below me and aim towards it and begin radioing for help. "mayday Mayday, this is mech unit 7 I've lost control and I am losing altitude fast, going to attempt a crash landing on an uncharted island in sector 04!" My radio for help was of course scrambled by the lightning, but it was worth a try.

He continued to get nothing but static, but when he listened closely he could hear a faint voice behind it all. He leaned close to the device and gently turned the knob. The voice was clear for a split second, then went back to static. Kintu turned the knob to just the right position to pick up the signal. He was successful, and the voice became clear. Due to the delay of trying to get a signal all that was left to here was 'going to attempt a crash landing on an uncharted island in sector 04'. Kintu's ears twitched and pivoted as he leaned away from the radio. The lion from below heard it as well. "Hm, poor fellow." He spoke blandly. His ears twitched as he picked up the sound of a strange whistling from afar. He huffed and looked for the source. Looking up at the Sky he could see a strange object. He noticed it was becoming bigger...no...closer. His eyes widened as he found the noise was the sound of a falling aircraft. He gasped. Kintu looked down at him and wondered what he was looking at. He tried to follow his line of sight, and saw the aircraft itself. His eyes widened in fear as he let out a blood curdling scream.

Launch Base Act 2 Posts: 348 Group: A Rank Guardian Member #13,463 Joined: February 28, 2013 Gender: Female Xbox Live Gamertag: Naomi Kitsune Steam ID: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198040096149 Game Currently Playing: Lots of games	As I came in closer to the island my flight thrusters kicked back in just long enough to adjust the course slightly but I was already falling to fast to pull out of the crash. Just missing a fox and a lion down below, the mech smashes into the beach sand, kicking a ton of it everywhere as the momentum carries it forward along the beach, ripping some of the limbs off it before it smacks into a large rock. As it settles into the sand the loud whine of one of the thrusters continues for a moment before whirring down as it dies and the wreckage lays there letting off a big cloud of smoke. Dizzy from the crash I lay ther for a moment trying to get my bearings and as I refocus I start banging at the door trying to get it open.

Even though the vehicle missed them he continued to scream at the top of his lungs. The lion looked over at the wreckage, then up at his son. "C-calm down, Kintu!" He hollered. Kintu took many quick, deep breaths. He sounded as if he were hyperventilating. The lion's ears perked as he heard the sound of banging against a hard material. He looked over at the wreckage, thinking that's were the sound was coming from. "Stay there!" He called to Kintu as he walked back to the wooden shack. About a minute later he came out wielding a shotgun. He crept up to the crashed aircraft. He was hesitant to speak. "W-who goes there?!" He shouted as he gripped his gun tightly. He was prepared to shoot at whatever came out. Kintu managed to calm himself. He watched curiously from above. The aircraft astonished him. "Whoa..." He mumbled in amazement as he gazed upon it.

Hearing a voice outside I stop and open it cautiously. As the bright light outside seeps into the cockpit I peek my head out letting my eyes adjust. After my eyes finally adjust I realize that I am staring into the face of a barrel. giving a quick yelp of terror I immediately dive back into the wrecked cockpit of my mech. "P-please don't hurt me s-sir, I don't mean you any harm" I whimper as a few tears streak down my face mixing with my bloodied fur before passing out from a mixture of injury, exhaustion and fright. "State your business, boy." He demanded in a deep, unwelcoming voice. Though he lowered his weapon he refused to let his guard down. Kintu gasped as he recognized the sound of the pilot's voice. He jumped down the tree, hopping from branch to branch. He ran towards his father, leaving the forest behind and setting foot onto the sandy coast. "Dad!" He called as he approached him. The lion's eyes narrowed. "I told you o stay put." He whispered. Kintu ignored his father's statement and went on. "He's the one from the radio!" He claimed. His eyes narrowed as he turned back to face the blue fox. He seamed a bit unsure.

And the sadness I felt as I too abandoned it in my mech hoping to find somewhere else. The painful dream evident on my face, or perhaps that was the pain of the crash wounds I was suffering from. as my fur turned more and more red from a particularly bad wound in my side, it was quite clear that I wouldn't last much longer if untreated.

He starred at the strange fox whom crashed on their homeland. After moments of thinking he decided to become an ally...for now, besides how much damage could such a badly injured fox do? He passed his shotgun to his son. "Best tom take him in." He decided as he reached into the cockpit and lifted the blue fox's bloody body out. He huffed. "Come." He said to Kintu as he jerked his head. They walked back to the woods and approached the small wooden shelter. An anvil rested just outside. It appeared as though someone here were a blacksmith. He opened the door to a small house. More or less it looked like a shack. Their shelter wasn't too far from the crash sight. It looked to only have two rooms. The first one they entered had much iron and materials for creating a metal weapon of som kind. There was only one window in this room. It was dirty and scratched. A table rested, pushed up against on of the walls. Many materials lay on the table. The lion huffed as he tried to clean it off. It was difficult since he was carrying a body, but eventually cleared it off. He lay the blue fox on his back atop the table. He walked over to the corner of the room and knelled down in front of a green bag. It appeared to be a first aid kit of some sort. It was kept around in case any injuries happened during the big cat's work. He unzipped the bag and took out a roll of bandages. As he stood up he spoke to his son. "Kintu, go get some water. I want to clean his wounds before I patch him up. And make sure you get fresh water and not salt water from the island coast." Kintu nodded and grabbed a water bottle off a nearby shelf. He trotted out the door and went searching through the woods for a water source. A few minutes passed before he came across a river. It was the same river where they usually get their water from. He opened the bottle and submerged it into the running water until it was filled. He soon got up and trotted back to the shack. Minutes later he reappeared. He jogged through the open door and handed his father the open bottle of water. "Thank you." He said as he turned to the blood soaked fox. He slowly tilted the bottle over his wounds and washed them clean so they wouldn't get infected. He then took the roll of bandages and patched him up. He used the remaining water to try and clean the blood that drenched his fur.

I began to wonder who was carrying and where I was going. Shortly after I drifted back into unconsciousness as the lion carried me toward his house. While he was preparing to patch my wounds I drifted in and out constantly as I struggled to find the strength to awaken. It wasn't until he had finished bandaging me up and started cleaning the flood off me that I found enough strength to open my eyes, not all the way though as I was still quite weak. After having opened my eyes for a little bit I began to speak, "W-where am I? a-and who are you?" I mutter with with great struggle as I try to sit up but only manage to lift my shoulders off the table for a brief second before laying back down. "and what are you doing to me?" I ask not sure what was going on as he cleaned my fur.

"My name is Vile, and this-" he guess turned to the young golden fox. "-is my son, Kintu." Vile took a deep breath. "I cleaned and patched your wounds for you." He said in the nicest tone possible, but the expression on his face was still unwelcoming. He leaned forward and rested his forearms on the table. He locked his fingers together, and propped one foot behind the other. "Now...I believe there you owe us an explanation, boy." He grumbled. Kintu walked up to the table the injured fox rested on. "What was that you crashed here in?! It looked so cool!" He claimed with a squeak of excitement in his voice as he spoke. Vile eyed him as a way of telling him 'now is not the time'.

I turn my head to face him as he demands an explanation, "I suppose I do owe you an explanation, its the least I can do for your help." I say with a calmer voice. " I was born an another part of this planet, a small continent, but it was technologically advanced. The vehicle I came here in is a mech, a large pilotable robot mainly used for military purposes. My continent had 2 factions, The Kitune's and the ShadowWolves. While These two factions normally left each other alone except for some small disputes here and there, the ShadowWolves decided that they wanted full control of the continent and attacked my homeland, they quickly took over most of it before they came to my town and destroyed it as well," I stopped with a bit of sadness in my eyes and teared up as I continued. "My family was lost then, whether they were captured or killed I do not know, but I fought to save them but was captured, and turned into an experiment. I don't know what would have happened to me if I wasn't freed by a spy. He died in aiding my escape but told me to join the Kitsune Liberation Force, which I did and fought in constant battles, but we lost. Most of us scattered leaving the continent to the Shadowwolves. I headed this way since it was unexplored by us and I felt it would be a good area to find a place to hide until they stopped looking for us, that was when I crashed here."

After that he heard nothing but distant mumbling as he zoned out into deep thinking. once the blue fox ceased his blabber Vile rose the question. "kitsune?" he repeated in a dark voice. "I hope thats just your way of saying 'fox'... or...do you mean 'Kitsune' as refering to those mythical beasts?" he asked as he slammed his hands on the table and leaned towards the fox with an extremley curious look on his face. Kintu did not understand why his father was so interested. He looked at the blue fox, and crossed his arms. "I don' think we got your name." He stated. Vile starred at the fox intimidatingly.

"I-I don't really know, whenever I'd ask anyone, they'd tell mean that it means Fox and nothing more, then change the subject on me." I reply before asking a question of my own, "But why does it interest you?" Looking over at Kintu when he asks for my name I reply "and my name is Thunderbolt the Fox." I look over again at the lion, uncomfortable by his menacing stare.

There was a gleam in his eyes. "Kitsune..." He repeated. "Those mythical beasts are legendary." His eyes narrowed as he growled in irritation. "Apparently I was foolish enough to believe for one second they existed." He huffed and looked at his son. "Kintu. Go see if you can pick up any radio signals." Kintu nodded and trotted outside. He ran up to the tall tree and dug his claws into the wood. He began to pull his way up the large tree.
