Very good news! Teaser reminds me of Dangan Ronpa.
Dug around some more, Persona Q is a 3DS only game. Crossover from Persona 3 and 4. Two new characters. I really like the chibi style! Hopefully this is going to be released in the west, instant buy from me.

I am excited that PS3 is still getting great games! That's why I prefer Sony systems because they support them fairly well after the new systems come out. Next year we have Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Tales of Xillia 2, Kingdom Hearts 2.5, Persona 5, Yakuza Ishin(albeit it's Cross Gen), and Final Fantasy X HD. The year of the RPG!

I haven't played any Persona though but I want to before P5 comes out to see how good it is. I've heard lots of good things and that Persona 4 was amazing on PS2. Is P4 Arena just an upgraded version of P4 or a spin off game? Should I buy the P3 PS2 classic off the PSN? Is that one any good?

Persona 4 Arena is a fighting game sequel to Persona 4. And yes. Both 3 and 4 are really good.

I view it more as "we know the PS4 isn't 100% so we'll stick with what works". But maybe that's wishful thinking.

It's more likely development started on the PS3 a while ago and moving it up to the next console would be more hassle than it's worth.

More interested in Persona Q than Persona 5, but that's mostly down to having nothing to go on beyond a tagline and some chairs.

Might have to take a look at P3P before the game is out.

FFversusXIII moved to the next console(as FFXV) despite being worked on since like 2006 and it's rumored The Last Guardian did as well. PS4 is selling like hotcakes so I doubt they are avoiding it. The most likely conclusion is what you said and there will always be some companies that don't move on right away. PS2 still had great games coming out long after the PS3 came out and same with the PS1(albeit not to the same extent). So that's why I refuse to sell my PS3, too many games coming out next year I want to get.

*Edit* Persona 3 is only $10 on the PSstore. Very tempting!

but those chairs could mean a lot. Think of all the possibilities what the story can bring!

The chairs clearly mean Kanji's return.

Metallix: Considering how long FF Versus has been in development it's probably not the best example. I'm still wondering if it's ever going to be released.

That aside, Final Fantasy is a series with a huge following, and as such has enough pull to convince its fans to make a console jump if they do. Even if some don't at first, the rest who do are enough to make up for it. Persona, on the other hand, is more niche. At least as far as I'm aware. They can't risk losing sales to people who aren't ready to make the jump, like myself.

Furthermore, developing on existing consoles is much easier. They've had time to learn the framework and and use it to make they best games they can. Where as working on the new system means they also have to learn its ins and outs on top of making a good game. This is why the Wii U works so well: It's got basically the same framework that they released all those years ago for the Wii, so everyone has had ample time to learn how it works and know how to squeeze everything they can out of it. Most of the time with fantastic results.

I'm interested in seeing where these two consoles end up in about a year or so's time when developers are more comfortable with them. But for now it's all pretty new. If Persona 5 does end up on PS4, I can imagine it being an enhanced port ala Persona 4: Golden. Though given the game's artistic style I can't imagine it benefiting too much from the upgrade. But who knows.

Fen: ...

Hey I'm sold. Day one purchase confirmed. ŠV

Sorry for getting a little off topic, though~
