So far things seem to be running smoothly. I've netted a couple bug reports which I'm working with the reporting parties to see if the issues can be isolated to the board as a whole or to their usage environment. Remember that these can be brought directly to me in PM. Neo Metallix has officially instated me as interim lead until his return to service, timetable unknown. On that note for staff, I've the pleasure of appointing Eileanach as a global moderator to work alongside Chaos, Pianta and Ktim. Eevee was upgraded in October to an administrator role to fill the void left by Miracle. One more global moderator addition may be considered if it's believed necessary. Remember that I will *not* accept solicitations and doing such will disqualify those that do so. If you have caught my attention as being exceptional and able to handle the responsibilities, then I will approach you. We've seen a rise in activity in October and I'd like to keep the momentum at a rise. I'll take a moment to welcome our newest member Jonathan Joestone who joined on November 1. May his addition be a sign that more will come. Perhaps one of them will have found the Thanksgiving turkey that escaped Blaire's lab. Preferably alive and fully conscious because poultry that's been frozen for weeks is just blech. Tazed would work too. With a final note as a gaming suggestion, XCOM Enemy Within, the expansion pack to Firaxis Games' lauded XCOM Enemy Unknown will release in the US on November 11. For those of you unfamiliar with it, Enemy Unknown is a PC/Mac/XBOX 360/PS3/iOS title that is a reboot of the 1990s X-COM strategy series that was produced by Mythos Games and Microprose, putting the player in charge of the anti-alien defense force of the same name. Between managing a base, research and development projects, aerial interception and on-ground tactical missions, it's an excellent show of turn-based strategy. Enemy Within builds upon this by overlaying itself on Enemy Unknown's campaign, giving players the opportunity to augment their soldiers with cybernetic or genetic enhancements if they can capture a special alien-made resource known as Meld. Ratcheting up the difficulty is also the presence of a enemy human faction known as EXALT, which plans to outlast the alien invasion and to use alien technology to push forward their agenda of world domination. Also EW brings the return of the famed Base Defense missions that classic X-COM fans know (and loathe, at least if they're on their last base). It currently stands on Steam at $26 (full price of $30). Give it a try
