 Well, looks like the era of the friend code is over. It bothered me mostly on the Wii giving each game its own separate friend code, but at least on the 3DS the friend codes are universal. I'm just glad Nintendo has finally caught up with the times. ...Somewhat anyway

 I think Nintendo needs to get with the program when it comes to adding friends, sony and microsoft have the add friend button which is a lot easier than trying to memorize someones friend code to add them then having them add yours.

 Ah man I was just reading through the topic and was happy to see that they were going to get rid of friend codes... Remembering numbers is a pain in the butt compared to using usernames. It'd be nice if Nintendo went down that route, but if it didn't happen now it probably won't happen for a long time if it even does... :\

Nobody here ever tries to memorize it. xP

The 3DS's Miiverse though is an extremely nerfed and limited version compared to the Wii U. Kinda dumb you have to manually search and add one person at a time even if they are on your friend list already as a friend code. They should have a quick or insta add button for it.

Nintendo my be going a little too slow, the wii-u isn't even powerful enough to compete with the other next gen systems (having a tricore cpu and only 2 gigs of ram compared to the other 2 systems 8 core cpu's and 8 gigs of ram)
