A Season 2 of The Walking Dead has been confirmed by Telltale, who have also confirmed your saves from Episodes 1-5 will carry over to potentially another 5 episodes, Episodes 6-10. Telltale is working on a way to implement a save import feature for the next season of The Walking Dead game, an interview on Red Bull's website reports. As expected, Telltale has revealed the first concrete details about The Walking Dead: The Game’s second season. Season two will be released “later this year” on PC/Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iOS “with additional platforms to be announced.” According to Telltale, season two “will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad. Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.” The Walking Dead’s second season will include five episodes in all and run through 2014. On PC, a Season Pass will save players 10% and is currently available for pre-order on Steam for $22.49. “The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman’s world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series,” said Telltale CEO Dan Connors. “Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we’ll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted.” In addition, Telltale confirmed the previously outed Game of the Year Edition of The Walking Dead’s first season, which will include all five episodes and the 400 Days DLC for $29.99 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The studio also revealed that 21 million episodes of The Walking Dead have been sold to date. ![]()

Oh so you'll play as Clementine herself? Was curious who would be the character this time. Maybe multiple. Regardless, can't wait... although I still need to play 400 Days. |

You know, I really like Telltale as a publisher and I am crossing my fingers (and toes) that this game is as enjoyable as the first one. It's great they are intending on having your saves carry over... Oooh the replayability. |

It's said Telltale is working on both The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead at the same time. Making choices more plausable to the player according to the fans' reaction, so the game is not even finished. Release probably around November. Excited to see what they'll make of it, I'm scared for Clem though. :c |

That's quite interesting Pianta; so they are trying to gauge fan reaction and build that into their choice / end result mechanics? Oh that means that there are a lot of interesting potential for these games then. I might be convinced to part with some cash and invest in these games. Especially since it sounds like Telltale is really trying to keep the fans in mind. |

God, I'm so excited for this. And it may seem strange to some people, but I think that I am either one of the few, or part of the small percent of fans of this game who have never actually played it. Okay, I played it once. I only got as far as the Motor Inn in the first episode. I used my Gamestop super power of being able to borrow games as an employee and got the game... Popped it in immediately... Experienced some skipping/freezing/stalling but I managed to push through... Got to the part where the zombie is coming around the RV and it freezes. When it unfreezes itself, I'm on the ground getting eaten, dead. Tried this 6 or 7 times, cleaned the disc multiple times, to no avail. Finally gave up. But I really wanted to know what happened. So over the course of the next 4 or 5 days I watched a no commentary full walkthrough on youtube. Man, it was wonderful. And that's how I became hooked on this game. Just a couple weeks ago, not even a month after watching it all the way through the first time, I watched it all the way through again. This time it took me 2 days. Maybe 3. I can't wait for Season 2, I get positively jittery and anxious whenever I hear speak of it or see pictures or even just remember that it's coming out soon! Honestly, though, I don't know if I should wait and just watch another no commentary walkthrough, or actually get the game and try to play it myself? I don't know... When it comes out I will probably decide. I do really want a Vita, so if I get one by then I'll probably get the game so I can play it anywhere. But if not, I'll probably watch a walkthrough as the episodes come out, and then just purchase the (hopefully full) game for my XBox, once all of the episodes have been released. SIDE NOTE: I was also (surprisingly super) super super stoked when it was revealed that Omid is back and with Clementine. I wonder if Christa is back too? Ooooh the suspense. Can't wait. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/440891/the-walking-dead-season-2-screenshot-announces-the-return-of-omid/ |

Supposedly, episode one is coming out next week! I see some familiar faces... Telltale is working on this, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones and Tales from the Borderlands at the same time, so the wait has been much longer - they first said fall 2013. Doesn't matter, I'm stoked! |

Christa and Omid yessss! Saw this trailer last night! So so so so excited! People, please get no commentary walkthroughs out soon! Also, at :38, pleeaase tell me that's the back of Kenny's head. I love Kenny, it'd be awesome if he made a comeback. And Molly, but that may just be asking too much. But Kenny? Yeah I have a feeling that's Kenny. |

Yep.

Story-wise, it really really is good. However don't expect too much gameplay, you point and click on this, solve a simple puzzle, go through a small quick time event and make a decision that honestly doesn't impact much, well as of yet, not sure what season 2 will have in stock for us. But if you don't mind that like i don't, then you should get engrossed in the game, especially after episode 2/5. wait what am i doing here |

I didn't play it, I just watched it and it was really good. In my opinion it's way better to watch it as a movie than to try to play it as a game. There's really no point to play it as a game, if you think about it. Kinda what Clementine just got done saying. |

Yep.

I actually think it's tons more better to play it yourself. I mean yeah the choices aren't that major, but there's still lots of things you can choose when it comes to talking, i like being in control of what my character says instead of someone choosing for me. |

I wasn't trying to say that you said it was better to watch than play; I meant it like I'm saying it's better to watch than play, because of the reasons that you stated. Just to clear that up. |

You can't really compare watching a game to playing a game. I believe they both have a slightly different feel. While playing the game you're in charge of your own choices, getting more involved and immersed with the game and the characters. Since YOU'RE the one making all the decisions, the consequences are more painful because YOU made them. I feel like you get more attached to the characters as well, because of this. But the game is so good, you can watch it and still experience quite the same feeling. That's because the story is so well written and well executed, it can be seen as a movie and still be enjoyed. It's the strenght of this game, really. So yes, it's a really good game. A game doesn't need great/elaborate 'gameplay' to be good. The story makes up for it in this case. But yeah, if you don't like point-and-click in general, itc might not be something for you. Then again, you could watch it to kinda get the feeling and enjoy the story. So, it came out today on Steam! Haven't played it but watched a playthrough of it. The first ten minutes had me in tears already. Spoiler: click to toggle episode names speculation
