Its probably too early for anyone to be looking into what the word "pony-esque" means, it was probably a quirk given the article's title.

I'm excited at least, Polsky wrote two of my favorite episodes of Friendship is Magic.

He also wrote one of my least favorite episodes of the series, so I'm kinda concerned.

I would honestly love to see another comedic Sonic cartoon but not as silly as AoSTH however a balance of seriousness and comedic would be best. Also I wouldn't want to see a CG Sonic show, but if that was to happen I'm sure i'd get used to it... :V Well, we just have to wait and see what we'll be getting. I think it would be cool if more was revealed on Sonic's 22 anniversary this year which by the way is coming up very soon. ;)

If it was made by the folks that made the Night of the Werehog short, I would have no problem with a CGI Sonic. Though, personally, I'd rather have a traditionally animated show.

Admittedly so.

I learned of this the other day, but due to technical issues, I've been burrowing the laptop to do talking and what not.

Anyway, I won't really have a opinion on the show until I actually see it. Til then, I'll remain in a mix of skeptical and optimistic. I just pray we don't get another Chris.

Though personally Id love a Ratchet and Clank cartoon. XD

I'd prefer to see traditional animation, but I wouldn't mind CGI. However, I don't know if they have as good of a budget to do CGI.

Also, I'm hoping for something not too light, but not dark and serious either. I'm just wanting some good writing with some heart and subtleties every once in a while.
It all starts with this... A jewel containing the ultimate power!

Every world has its end. I know that's kinda sad, but... That's why we gotta live life to the fullest in the time we have. At least, that's what I figure.

Doesn't seem like there's been an update on this at all. I just googled it and pretty much every site just has the information that was posted back in June. Also on various Sonic forums people have just been posting speculation on what the cartoon will be like, and of course there are tons of people that don't like it already just because the writer for MLP is said to be working on this... I hope we will be getting some information about it soon. Heck it'd be cool if they went into detail some how at Sonic Boom this year. (I don't think they will though but if that's the case... there's me and another member going this year on here. ;) )

They showed Sonic's cameo in Wreck-It Ralph at the last Sonic Boom. Perhaps there's merit to details on the cartoon at one of the two conventions yet!

This could end up being incredibly awesome or absolutely atrocious. Let's hope it leans toward the former. I'm not a big fan of the Colors writers, but I think they would be well suited to the premise of this show. Didn't they write a couple episodes for "My Little Pony", anyway? I never watched it, but if this show is pony-esque, I'm assuming there will be quite a lot of humor. Just please, don't mess up the animation, or at least get the character designs right.

Did anybody already post this? -checks- Nope, looks good. Alright check this out.

http://blogs.sega.com/2013/10/02/sonic-boom-working-title-a-new-animated-series-coming-fall-2014/?0=1

Saw this on my Facebook news feed just a second ago. Pretty interesting. I hope it actually happens and I hope it is a really good show. It should be interesting if only because Knuckles' shadow looks like he's on steroids.

EDIT: Basically, it just seems like a basic show. From what I can tell it's not gonna have any fancy pants gimmicks. I mean, it's gonna have the basic characters. It's the first CG Sonic show. 52 eleven-minute episodes, co-produced by SEGA of America Inc. and Genao Productions. I wonder if that means that they're gonna be like 2 mini episodes in one, I know a lot of cartoons do that. Because that would equal out to 22 minutes per program, 26 episodes, which is about how long a season is, and they normally produce the whole first season for broadcast, which sounds about right. But idk, just my theory.

Oh lol how did I miss that? I always miss stuff like that. I am so behind. xD

Not as behind as that website though, seeing as the article was just posted today. That's why I thought it was new news!

But yeah, I'm wondering how different all of them are gonna look.

So it is real? :???: Oh I thought it was just a rumor as we didn't get any news on it for months. I wonder how it will go? I hope it's good, I've liked at least bits of all the Sonic cartoons released to date so I hope this won't brake that trend. Sad it's not 2D though (I was hoping for fun fast paced anime style 2D animation, similar to the OVA :] , but more modern and not as bland as Sonic X's animation). -_- Probably won't top my love for the OVA ;) (which I wish became a full anime series, BTW), but it be good and... OH HOLY CRAP! WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO KNUCKLES? *Crawls into corner in fetal position* Just... why? I know it's only a shadow but still he is too big! He is only meant to be slightly taller than Sonic! Is he Knuckles the Werechidna now? That sounds like a bad fanfic! Just... why? O.o And Amy was always the same height as Sonic, which kinda annoys me too that they ignored that, but Knuckles is just...wah >:( Another thing I noticed is that Sonic's spins look different... IS THIS GOING TO BE ANOTHER RE DESIGN. :OMFG: I hope not. That will really set off the fireworks in the fandom  I was happy enough with Sonic's old Japanese design from the 90's (not so much his old American design though... he looked stupid :\ ) but I like his current design -.-
