Regardless, it looks miles better than the fan film, simply because it didn't feel the need to throw live action in. I'm sure it will be a lovely little short film.

Pretty impressive, I must say. I wonder if they can do the same for Eggman. Does look promising though. Props to them. I'll keep an eye out for the end product next year, I guess.

The voice actors really were a nice touch. I've seen many fan approaches to how Sonic sounds in fanworks, but generally they aim for one closer to Ryan Drummond's impression if I'm not mistaken. Hearing a Roger Craig lookalike is fairly interesting as a result.

My thoughts? It was quite good. There are some issues I have - the voices for one could have been a bit better for some of the characters for one. (Is it just me, or does Amy sound faintly like a boy), the animation I felt was off at times, and the pacing could have been better. However, there was still a lot to enjoy about it. The film had really nice visuals and music. I especially liked that song that played during the part where Tails was trying to keep up with Sonic. And speaking of Sonic, I have to comment on his characterization. Because it is awesome. He was a snarky individual with an attitude, but also with a rather friendly side to him. He was also a freaking badass, as was Metal Sonic. The robotic double proved to be a tough fight for the hedgehog and it almost reminded me of the OVA - which happens to feature my favorite version of Metal Sonic. So that was a was a treat. And you know what else was a treat? Tails. He was nothing short of adorable. The way he's so eager to follow Sonic as they run through Emerald Hill Zone was awesome. And the scene where he finds the Tornado and looks at it so filled with wonder? Loved every bit of it. I also liked the banter between Amy and Knuckles when they showed up. I felt that their presence, as brief as it was, only added to the film. In short, Sonic Prolouge is a well done bit of fan animation, with wonderful visuals, great music, and fantastic characterization. I wholly recommend checking it out.
