Do you guys think they should bring back Classic again and give him his own 3d spinoff games?Like 3D remakes of the old games?

Hmmm...somehow that makes me think of the Genesis Ark from the comics...it would be an interesting idea for sure...

I. Would love that. Classic Sonic was really fun in Generations, I'd like to sew how they handle him but with better physics.
Gonna dropkick it.

I don't really think it's necessary. Maybe as a secret character from DLC in future games but I don't think a whole spinoff is worthy at this point especially since the physics they introduced in Sonic 4 make me doubt that Sega can handle Genesis-like controls in this era for whatever reason.

ok I thought you meant current sonic in 3D versions of the classic levels. to that yes.

but if you mean having a whole series where the main character is fatty "Classic Sonic" then I must agree with the above. No.

I would love to see Classic return and please don't get upset with me when I say this but I love his classic look much better than his modern look. I don't want my post to turn into why I like that better however I think it would be really awesome to see a spin off title or maybe just some DLC in a future Sonic game to where you can change his model. I think the last thing I posted would be more plausible at this point though...

I'm not really a Classic Sonic fan, so I can't exactly say the idea excites me much.

However, what Sega might want to do is take their handheld titles in a direction where the controls will be more like the Classic Sonic games-- if they feel that showing support for the Classic fans is really important to the future of the franchise, anyways. I loved Sonic Advance-- which is astounding in itself considering the fact that I really don't like 2-D platformers-- and it's likely to be the closest example of Classic Sonic-like controls after the Genesis. I can't really say I'd complain if the artwork for the handheld titles took a more Genesis-style direction either, actually. I wasn't a big fan of the change to 3D models in the Rush games, nor am I a fan of the way Sonic 4 Episodes I and II look. About the last time I liked the appearance of a Sonic Sidescroller was probably Sonic Advance 3. So, in short, the handheld titles might be where Sega should look, if they want to bring back something in the Classic Sonic style.

But, then, Ravenfreak is probably right about DLC being the most likely option. xD;

I'd actually love a Sonic game based on the old Archie comics and the original series, they kinda are Classic Sonic I think.

. . .

What I loved about Classic Sonic in Generations (and obviously the original games) there was no dialogue so I could replay the same levels until I was bored but every time I could use my own imagination to make up a story as to why Sonic was dashing around I didn't rescuing roboticised animals. I could play it with my little cousin as Sonic and me as Tails and add our own ridiculously convoluted and silly dialogue to it.

There's an element of charm to Classic Sonic, but not enough for him to have his own game series, sadly, especially when they have "new" Sonic who is all with the attitude and dialogue and a billion co-star characters to pick from to interact with. However, I do love the idea of the modern Sonic re-visiting all of the classic levels... MARBLE GARDEN, HILL TOP ZONE, HYDROCITY ZONE.... etc... OMFG THE POTENTIALLY LOVELY REMIXED/MODERN MUSIC!

I wouldn't mind a new TV series based off of the archie universe. Not going to happen of course...but a guy can dream.

Goodness me yes, I miss how it was never officially "finished" in cartoon format but sort of picked up in the Archie comics. The comics aren't bad would just have been nice to see the show "officially" end. As it did sound like a pretty amazing build up was going to occur before it was cancelled.
