Hey HEY! I'm new to this forum, and don't actually have a whole lot of experience using forums in general, so I figured this was the best way to get to know people! I have very few friends who like Sonic, so I ALMOST NEVER have anyone to share conversations with. SO! As the title suggests, this thread is to get to know my fancharacter! I'll mostly be RPing while in this particular thread, so you can get a good idea what kind of personality he has, but PLEASE keep in mind that I don't share his opinions or point of view. He's not as... humble as me. Or anyone. Cuz 'humble' isn't in his dictionary.  EGO guys. That's what this dude's all about. SO! Without further adieu, meet Charlie "Clutch" Taft! And yes, he's a hedgehog, I know, I was 10 YEARS OLD and he brings me too many good memories to change his design. DEEP BREATH. GETTING INTO CHARACTER.   HEY, everybody! Dear Mr. Clutch I apologize if any of this is offensive or inaccurate, but here is my critique of your character. First: Looks like someone tossed Scourge and Metal Sonic into a blender. Second: You haven't stated his power, but i assume that he is more powerful than Sonic or Shadow, and could stuff Nazo's face in a trash can with ease. Third: You havn't stated his back story, but I assume it is equally ridiculous. basically from your brief description you character comes across as something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN16PT6gpGU Now If my assessment was wrong, I fully apologize and would like to see more information so I can get a more accurate picture of who Clutch is. Inb4 "recolour of a recolour". Many many fans and followers eh? Quite the bold statement for the newcomer into these lands. [Enter left the Master of Darkness, presented in his usual Kingdom Hearts rip-off attire, eyes glowing blue. He's not here for confrontation, for that would be symbolised with a differing colour underneath the hood. MoD shuffles closer to Clutch, eyeing him up with a degree of curiosity. his hands remain behind his back throughout his visual inspection and finally, relaxes his posture a little. As a former Lord of these parts and ex-organiser of the local Tournament, MoD still possesses some cool powers which he's about to pull out of his ass. With a click of his fingers a deckchair appears out of a plume of purple smoke, and with a flop into it MoD clicked once more, a smaller puff of smoke appearing by his hand; the dark-robed one taking a hold of it as it materialised into a glass bottle of cola. Finally, MoD made one more click of his fingers, this time a large bowl of toffee-coated popcorn appearing in his lap. He grabbed a handful and threw it towards where one would assume his mouth would rest, the popcorn disappearing from sight with an audible munch.] Don't mind me. Just ready for a glorious show, and seeing who else shows up around here. |

Enter Ludichaos, current captain of the kingdom's nightwatch. He appears to be deep in thought as his hand idly grasps at his chin. Or what one would assume to be his chin considering that bothersome veil of darkness he calls his face nowadays. He finds it strange that with Kings and Queens ranking above his own group that they're called 'Governors'. You would think it would be 'Knights'. Governor seems like a desk job if you ask him. Knights would be more likely to go around and maintain the peace, right? And it fits with the whole monarchy theme too... Oh. And he also wonders how he should go about fulfilling certain duties involving this topic's placement. ... damn it, MoD. Now you've got me doing it. I feel like I should probably move this. But I'm not sure whether that'd be to the RP section due to the role playing nature or the ask games section because that's obviously what it should be... Eh. Moving it along to the Ask Games section temporarily. I don't think it'll work so well unless everyone bothers to be in character. If people want to be in character, I'll move it to somewhere like Beginner RPs. A neat idea, Clutch, but wrong section for it. This one is more like a place to display complete bios. Sorry to do this and thanks for understanding~ EDIT: Okaaaay. So said section no longer exists. Instead, moved it to Casino Park which is the next closest thing. Same deal though. |

Though rare, I sometimes have moments of inspiration and bust out something like that. I've been in a half RP-ish mood lately anyway. So I guess there's my way of venting some of that. Anyway, onto the topic at hand: Clutch! What's with the robo bits, dude? Were you built that way or was there some kind of... accident. |

Oh, DOOD, guys! I have RESPONSES! I didn't think anyone would really care that much, I had given up on this thread! AWESOME!! I shall respond in character as well, but I gotta respond to Smashmaster OUT of character first, cuz reasons. As for his appearance, in my defense, Scourge didn't exist yet when I was designing him. He's green cuz it's my favorite color, and no reason other than that. His eyes are blue cuz the color goes well with green. Also, my eyes are blue. Also, blue eyes are the most common in reality. His cybernetics aren't based on Metal Sonic, they're ACTUALLY based on Bunny Rabbot. I love the idea of half cyborgs and such, and when they're not broken or stupid, they're usually amazing. AS for powers, he has none of his own. Certainly no super speed. His rocket pack and boot jets allow high speed flight, but nothing crazy. He can't go as fast as a high tech jet. but he CAN go faster than say, a regular plane. ZERO chaos powers. EVER. He HAS a super form, but it's gimped. It takes more rings than 50, he runs out of ring twice as fast, it doesn't give him superspeed, and I can't decide whether or not to let him be invincible. Not likely though. I'm not a huge fan of invincibility. It's... kinda lame. He'll prolly be able to take more hits, but he'll still bleed and stuff. Really, the only thing going super does for Clutch is regenerate his body so there's no cybernetics anymore. And he can fly on his own, without rockets, but only SLIGHTLY faster. Also, even while in super form, STILL NO CHAOS POWERS. Zip. Never. He has an ego problem, which keeps him from seeing the actual fact of reality. It's quite crippling. And SO FREAKING FUNNY TO READ. Well, in my opinion, anyway. I'm kind of a jerk to Clutch... heh. I put him through so much unfortunate stupid junk, if he knew me he's want to hurt me. Honestly, going up against Sonic or Shadow... dude, that'd be FUNNY STUFF. Now, being a cyborg, he DOES have some abilities. He's a BIT of a Megaman/Samus type of ripoff, though I tried to be careful not to give him all their attacks. It's hard to be unique when the only attack he has is his mar cannon... BUT I think I did ok. Not exceptionally well, but ok nonetheless. Also, I know it's lame and overdone to be making more hedgehogs, but I was only 10 years old, and changing his species... it'd hurt a little. He brings back too many memories. This isn't my only character, and I'll tell you RIGHT NOW that ALL of my other characters a more original, EVEN THE ECHIDNA I MADE IS MORE ORIGINAL THAN THIS GUY, but I love him too much to change him. WILL GET INTO CHARACTER AND ANSWER THE REST OF THESE IN A FEW HOURS! THANKS FOR ALL THE COMMENTS! I LIKE ALLCAPS!! >{Ok, gonna be IN CHARACTER for this post. MAN it's been a while since I rp'd as Clutch, this is gonna be fun!}< Hey HEY! Looks like people are finally comin around! Hey, Em Oh Dee, right? Mind snappin up one of those colas for me? Thanks! I dunno if it's so bold, I mean, come ON! This is CLUTCH, baby! How could it EVEN be possible that I'm not famous?? I mean... come ON! Just look ar Chasermonkey over here! He totally remembers me! Check out these GUNS! OH YEAH! *Clutch begins making QUITE a show about flexing his... one arm. Admittedly, he DOES actually have some muscle tone there.* So, hey, what's all this about me not starting this thing in the right place? Is there really a WRONG place for ME?? Wow, I think you might need to look that up, pal. This is ME we're talking about here. I don't think I can really imagine a place that's wrong for ME! Also, Mr. Snake, rest assured, if you thought THEY were AWESOME, wait till you see how SHEERLY AMAZING I am! Dude, you'll be BLOWN AWAY! Probly LITERALLY! So, now I'm seeing someone wanting to ask a question... ... Oh. ... Well. I guess it was gonna happen at some point. Well, I'll tell you this, I wasn't MEANT to be part cyborg like this. It's... kinda complicated, but, I'll try to shorten it. I was at a college soccer game, cause that's what I did then, I was a college sports star. I was captain of the team. Which, by the way, I totally deserved. They kept telling me my grades weren't good enough, but I was too good to take off the team and they KNEW it. ANYWAY, basically, the field was... it was attacked. A huge horde of bots leveled it. They... they killed most of the people there. I lost... me and my BROTHER lost our parents there. I, uh.... huh. Ahem. I did my best to... to keep him in line, but he's always such a PUNK! He NEVER listens! So, I... well, I left. He was 18, and I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't sit there and argue with him at every possibly opportunity and just let the bastards get away with killing all those... all those... my parents. Ahem. I'm good. I signed up for some new experimental "get fit" thing, but it was a fake ad. They were... trying to brainwash people and make em into cyborgs. I didn't know... they put me under, but it wasn't enough. I woke up while they were... they were... um, I got out sometime in the middle of the night, and found out what they did to me the next morning. If you want the specifics of how they did it... you asking the wrong guy. All I know is... they didn't get in my head, and I'm still me, but now even better! And believe me, until this happened, I seriously didn't think it was possible for me to get any better! So, uh, that's it in a nutshell, I guess. Edited by Clutch45, Aug 23 2013, 02:11 PM.

*bows humbly* It seems my initial assessment was incorrect. Welcome Clutch. I also enjoy being rough on my characters. I killed my last main character...heroically of course. As to powers and abilities, he sounds well balanced. My cyborg character I'm working on is more powerful than that, but that is because he was created as a weapon. So long as you arn't aiming to be some God-Modding Hyper Shadic I see no reason why a few...upgrades...would be looked down upon. However, one thing...Scourge, or rather Anti-Sonic first appeared in 1994, so if you made Clutch when you were 10 and before Scourge was created, you'd have to be over 30 years old now, which I am doubtful of. However you could be referring to when he turned green and took on the name of Scourge, which was in 2008 I think. Do you usually RP in 1st person or do you do 3rd person as well? |

Haha, well, I'm 26, but yeah, he wasn't Scourge till the late 2000's. 08 sounds about right, I don't remember for sure. At any rate, no one knew at that point that he'd turn green back then! He was SUCH A MINOR CHARACTER, OH MY GOODNESS. Anyway, as for rping, it depends on the situation. I actually don't usually rp as casually as this. In the past, I've always rp'd in organized groups of friends, there are always rules, and it's third person. This is the first time I've done first person, and its only cuz I like the idea of having Clutch answer his own questions. It seemed like good practice!

Ah....I seem to continue to underestimate you... *taps fingers against RP section thoughtfully* Riddler is taking forever in the RP that I'm developing some of my characters in...but perhaps I can simply jump forwards in time and make an educated guess on how things will turn out in that RP and how they will affect the characters...Yes. I beleive I would be interested in RPing with you. I have a cyborg monkey who just regained some of his memories, a mercenary otter who's not all there in the head, a snow leopard tramp, a fox boy who has strange powers, and a psycic alien girl who looks like a cat with feathers instead of fur. |

Hmm, well, I'm not currently in any Sonic type rps at the moment. I'm in a home stuck based one and I'm working on getting a fantasy one started. I certainly wouldn't mind doing one though! This is the (now dead) rp where I rp as clutch for the first time http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=15362103 I hadn't decided on his actual story as a kid, so I started with this rp. He was... pretty Mary sue when I was only ten, but I made sure to remove all of that nonsense with that rp. You know, I think we should prolly continue this conversation through pms, so the thread doesn't get moved again! I'm posting with my phone right now, so I'll send a pm when I get home in a few hours.
