"I will kill ALL of the Titans!"

"This is where my next match is? Why disrupt such a peaceful place?" Combo was lazily idle by a large fountain, detailed in marble. It's glistening waters set the scene for a relaxing day, housing the hopes of a collaboration of farmers and salesman seeking revenue. Small kids, accompanied by a parent, fancied the cool waters spraying from the fountain. Such a tranquil sight set Combo at ease, hopefully keeping him focused for his quarterfinal match. The environment was nice and casual. It was safe to say that both shopper and supplier weren't weary of the last minute shuffle of combat arena. That would be become evident when the fists began to fly. Some of the shoppers seemed to be packing up soon anyway to avoid the slowly gathering storm. Small streams of sunlight seeped through the last exposed areas of sky, but it'd only last for a few more minutes. Combo began to review his strategies. Which one to use? How would his opponent react? How does his opponent fight? There's been so many different people he's encountered in the tournament, all unique in his own different way. Thankfully, Combo could cater to any style by mixing his Auras. It all depends on who was the next speed bump on his road to the Championship. |

Oh god, how long has it been? It's been a while, Fenroar Strauss thought, being forced to wait for his match for what seemed like forever. After a successful first two matches, Fenroar lost to a giant mech known mostly as Wraith, although he blamed the loss more for his errors during the match. However, Wraith was still a strong opponent. Now Fenroar is finally ready to begin his next match, having been waiting a while. With his hat on his head, he headed towards his destination... but rather surprised at the arena where he was told to be fighting. It appears to be some town's plaza. Normal people and citizens are scattered about. I'm supposed to fight with these people here!? "Oh the gods," Fenroar said to himself in reaction. Fenroar walked towards the fountain, his opponent supposed to be here. He can't tell who it his opponent is, until he recognized Combo from the combatant sheet Fenroar was given in the lobby. A human just like him. "Hoy there!" Fenroar shouted. "It's kinda relieving to see a human after a weird hedgehog and a mech... we're supposed to fight here!?" |

"That's how it seems to be," Combo responded, stroking the cool fountain water with his hand. Ever since the conflict on his home planet, pure water became faint and rare. However, Earthlings had water that flowed freely from the ground with no purpose. If Combo had a cup, he'd drink from the fountain until it pumped out air. "Seems like they didn't get the memo either. Turns out they'll found out the hard way," Combo said, sounding carefree. despite the looming battle. He still hadn't taken the time to inspect his foe but it didn't seem like he had much going for him. "Not that I don't like idle conversation but..." Combo's voice slowly trailed off as the light blue hue of Manus Celer began to cover his hands. "We should cut this short. I'm pretty sure there's a group of omnipotent forces judging us on entertainment somewhere," joked the fighter, before launching a quick strike for his unsuspecting opponent's lower midsection. Manus Celer's effect lowered Combo's striking power but magnified the multi-striking effect he's known for. While the pain would be minimal, the strike would effectively stun the area of impact. Not for too long, but long enough for a follow-up strike, assuming Combo unjustly hit his mark. The fighter was normally honorable in a fight but at this point in the tournament, he had to do what it takes to win. |

Fenroar already began taking out the Genesis Sword when Combo indicated the crowd nearby will find out the hard way. He sighed, not wanting to get any children or random citizens hurt. Fenroar especially grew alarmed when he began his next sentence, being on high alert and barely noticing a blue glow surrounding his opponent's hands. He barely evaded out of the way but the attack still took a quick knick off the right side of his midriff, slightly tearing the vest and leaving a painful but quick cut on the side of his waist. He grunted in pain a bit, should have used his powers in reflex to dodge. Taking the long crimson red sword and black rapier-like hilt, he span around at an impressive speed, seeing some bleeding. Overall, it hurts, Fenroar not expecting the attack already, but it's still bearable. Fenroar swung the tall and thick but slightly thin blade at Combo, swinging it vertically and unaware Combo has a counterattack prepared. However, Fenroar has one of his own. They're either going to end up injuring each other or their attacks will collide. Fenroar already has a slight backup or counterattack planned himself, charging up electricity within him. Meanwhile, the crowd around Fenroar and Combo took notice. People gasped at the sight, some not treating the would-be battle seriously yet, simply watching with amusement and even cheering. Others started backing off, not sure how long the battle would last, but left their goods on display for now, unaware how serious the battle will soon be. |

"Hm, quick reactions." Combo's sneak attack didn't help him out as much as he wanted it to. A counterattack launched by his opponent came as a quicker reaction than the fighter anticipated. A follow up attack would only injure Combo in the crossfire and there was no way the determined multi-striker would risk injury this early in the fight. The boxer quickly turned his body sideways to avoid the vertical slash that would more than likely damage the marble fountain. After evading, Combo centered his weight to his legs and jumped back an impressive distance. The distance would shock others, including the young couple that was underneath his leap at the time, but some would assume that the new blue aura of Pedes Celer around his feet would be to blame. Any limb of Combo's that isn't loaded with Aura energy can instantly shift to an Aura, but shifting between Auras takes time. Since he already loaded Manus Celer and Pedes Celer, it would take time to load the appropriate Auras he needed. Going against his own fighting style, Combo kept his distance as he began to shift his left hand to Manus Contego for defensive purposes. For striking purposes, at the cost of speed, Combo began to shift his left foot to Pedes Arma. The antagonizing crowd wasn't pleased to see the fight take a stale turn but this was only the calm before the storm. One battle-hungry salesman even lobbed a poorly aimed orange in hopes of edging Combo back on. However, a sophomoric distraction wasn't nearly enough to break the fighter's focus. |

"Come on, get on with it!" some of the crowd chanted, Fenroar watching his opponent back off. It was an impressive jump no doubt, could he have used special air magic? Didn't matter, Fenroar concluded. The Genesis Sword in hand, he watched his opponent and Fenroar debated his options. He could do nothing and continue charging electricity within him or fire a quick strike and take him by surprise. For now, Fenroar decided to strike, yanking his hand forward and firing a weak-charged bolt of electricity. The yellow bolt made some of the crowd gasp. Although electricity is always fast, if his opponent is quick and alarmed, he could sense the static in the air and perhaps avoid it. It didn't matter much though anyway. A weak-charged bolt like that will only cause brief paralysis and a bit of pain at most, which the paralysis will probably wear off by the time Fenroar even reaches him, assuming his opponent gets hit. Fenroar stood there in the meantime, calm while some of the crowd simply remained breathless what Fenroar just did so calmly. -- Amount of electricity left: Eighty-five percent |

Seeing as his opponent decided to remain idle for the time being, it enabled Combo to successfully switch his Auras. When the time came upon him to strike, the fighter noticed Fenroar raise his hand for an attack. Trying not to be obvious, Combo fought the urge to use Contego to block any incoming attack so he could use it as a counter in close ranged combat. Combo had no way to detect energy, but he's still a quick thinker. At this range, it was obviously a ranged attack. With his opponent raising his hand in such an obvious answer, the attack would obviously fire after Fenroar completed his momentum-based movement. No matter how fast the projectile was, Combo could sway out of the way before the shot was even launched. What helped this was utilizing his remaining Pedes Celer leg for short bursts and dashes, Combo quickly shot out of the way as lightning came brushing past and luckily soaring through the bystanders. These bystanders obviously weren't fans as they began blurting out insults not safe for the ears of the young. Even a parent was upset by the words, now being forced to explain that a female dog isn't a family friendly word. It was lucky for Combo that bystanders had already began moving to the side or he would have collided with a few. It was time to take the fight to his opponent. Combo began in normal strides before kicking off of his leg and dashing for Fenroar. Combo's speed looked impressive, but his intention was to land before Fenroar without launching an attack. He already had a counter prepared but was going to engage the opposition without the intention of a preemptive strike. |

Hmph, as expected, Fenroar thought, reacting to Combo's next move. He was only testing Combo with that attack; he'll see soon enough. At least that somewhat scared the crowd, Fenroar not wanting them to be killed during this. Hopefully Combo is thinking the same. So Combo is now taking this to close-range. Fenroar smiled, charging electricity with the Genesis Sword raised in a defensive stance. The crowd was growing more chaotic now as they realize how serious the fight is becoming. Fenroar was expecting some sort of attack as soon as Combo got within distance but it appeared that wasn't the case, strangely stopping before Fenroar for some reason. What is this? Not taking the chance to strike? Thinking it's a trap and thinking fast within the few seconds, Fenroar yawned but surprisingly, as he yawned, a lightning bolt fired out of his chest, with no need of a motion or special chant or anything. Fenroar is not the type of opponent you want to give time for anything as one of the special things about him is the fact he can fire simple lightning bolts, which can range in power depending on how much he charges, without the need of an obvious hand motion or signal. He was simply tricking Combo earlier when he yanked his hand back, playing and misleading him. As soon as he fired the lightning bolt, hoping his fake-out worked, Fenroar swung down the Genesis Sword at his left shoulder, suddenly serious and glaring at his opponent with his red eyes. The lightning bolt he fired is close-range, so especially if he's surprised, there's a great chance he would be hit. However, the lightning bolt, hardly charged at all, is fairly weak. It will cause rather weak pain and paralysis but being so close-range, that paralysis could be enough for Fenroar to deliver a strike from his sword to his enemy, as it probably won't completely paralyze his movements but will at least slow them down somewhat. The pain from the lightning bolt itself would be fairly weak, hardly anything past two or three seconds or so, and overall nothing. However, the crowd would surely treat the battle serious now if they haven't already. All it would take is some blood. -- Amount of electricity left: Eighty percent |

((Sorry, I wasn't sure if I did this right, since I'm making the conclusion post.)) Fenroar attacked, a bloody gash cutting down his opponent. He saw blood drip on the floor a bit where his opponent then fell back. In a blink of an eye, the opponent disappeared, Fenroar unsure where he went. The crowd was surprised... but booing then erupted at how abrupt the fight ended. Some threw trash, Fenroar groaning and walking off, trying his best to ignore. He heard a voice within his head. "Your opponent has lost the battle due to certain circumstances. You have won and advanced in the bracket." Well, that was quick, Fenroar thought in reaction, walking off. |
