Should Shade be re-introduced?

Good vibes. Posts: 7,965 Group: A Rank Legend Member #11,988 Joined: April 10, 2011 Gender: Male Country: United States of America	One character I really enjoyed being introduced into the games was Shade the Echidna, from Sonic Chronicles. Unfortunately, it seems that since that game will never have a sequel, it's more or less non-canon. So, I have two proposals to bring in a female echidna: 1) Re-Introduce Shade. Keep her backstory mostly the same, and the situation you encounter her in mostly the same, but this time with a main Sonic game. If the Nocturn clan was set as the baddies for one game main game, then it would be simple to get Shade back. 2) Bring in an alternate version of Julie-Su. Of course, some people may not like this idea, but hear me out. Basically, you could make her an Echidna that is partially roboticized by Eggman, though near the middle or end Eggman looses his control over her. Of course, if you ship Knuckles and Rouge together, you might not like either option, as like tends to attract like and it wouldn't be far off to think that Shade or Julie would become Knuckles' main love interest. Or you just might not give a rat's ass.

That succinct enough?

But since they've pretty much completely written off Sonic Chronicles, I guess that's not happening. Also Shade is kind of similar to Shadow as far as names go, etc.

It was okay but it was still too weird of a break from the normal games for my taste. Shade was okay from what I saw of her but not really worth bringing back since Chronicles basically got sent to the dust bin. Plus Sega seems intent on focusing on Sonic and a few of his friends for more recent storylines. I don't expect to see many new characters in the future aside from the villains in Lost Worlds but even that may be for that game only.
