What is your personal favorite final boss fight from any Sonic game? My favorite was Dark Gaia, Sonic Unleashed's final boss. Because the epic music, the sense of danger you get when playing, the feeling that if you screw up the world is over... And more. I also liked how Sonic and Chip worked together to defeat Dark Gaia, rather than it being just Super Sonic solely fighting the final boss (*coughsonicadventurecough*).

Perfect Chaos hands down. The story leading up to it, the set up and the music. All comes together perfectly. |

Even though Colors is my favorite game, the final boss was just pathetically easy and kind of ruined the pacing of the game. I mean sure it looks cool and the music is neat, but the gameplay just feel flat. Adventure really disappointed me since it had all of these playable character, but Instead of having them all work together to beat the final boss Sonic Team chose to go with Super Sonic. The fight is still one of the best boss fights in Sonic history, but because of the missed potential I can't consider it my favorite. Unleashed is just one big quicktime event, and the concept of Chip's final form (I won't spoil the hilarity if you haven't played it yet) is just laughable. Generations and Heroes are good fights all around, but they just aren't tough enough. The variety in gameplay, the music and the visual flare is there, but the difficulty is just not up to the caliber of, say, Sonic 1 or 2. I would have to say my pick is Sonic & Knuckles 3. Perfect in basically every way. |

Colors Final Boss (Wii) -was- easy, but for me, that's not a detracting factor. It had amazing music, a great build-up, felt incredibly climactic, and I loved the hard, metallic bangs of climbing up the robot's body with homing attacks, then sending the entire thing flying with boost. Could have maybe been harder, but, when a boss is easy, you can also willingly take your time and fool around to prolong the fight, which I know is something I personally do. |

Sonic and Raven! :3

I have to go with Robotnik in S3K, you think you stop him in Launch Base Zone but then he ends up going up in space and it's up to Super/Hyper Sonic to stop him. After I defeated him I had a sense of accomplishment. However I also love Perfect Chaos from Sonic Adventure as well, even if that fight can be a pain in the butt sometimes. :V |

You have to play through the second part (S&K) first in order to see the true final boss battle. You go Super/Hyper Sonic (and into the Doomsday Zone) after you defeat him in the Death Egg Zone. Speaking of which, S3&K's final boss fight is my favorite. I thought it was creative on how instead of you being the hunted, you have to hunt down Eggman and use his own weapons against him. It is a little frustrating but having a flying stage and avoiding all sorts of space junk and missiles was just a genius way of differentiating the battle from other bosses. |
