Sonic and Raven! :3

I think this belongs in Sonic's Sanctuary. Anyway to answer the question, mine is a tie between Sonic CD and S3K. I really love the time travel scheme presented in Sonic CD, and the Japanese soundtrack is phenomenal. I love S3K for it's storyline and the complex level layouts. You get different paths to take, and explore. I also love how Knuckles was introduced in this game, Sega did that so well.

My favorite, is without a doubt, Sonic 2. The control is perfect the level design has a perfect amount of challenge and it's all round a fantastic game. |

My favourite Sonic Genesis game is probably Sonic 2. The reason for this is that while it has more gameplay features than Sonic 1 (Spindash being the most prominent, and pretty much a symbol of the series at this point), it still possesses that sort of simplistic charm that made me love the first game. S3&K is a very good game and I do enjoy it a lot, but some of the simplicity is lost at that point. I will grant, however, that the story has made a definite improvement by Sonic 3. I just don't enjoy the game quite so much as I enjoyed Sonic 2. |

It's hard to chose between Sonic 2 and 3, but, due to it large number of levels, the fact that we got the spindash for the first time and it last boss who is EPIC to me, i think i prefer Sonic 2 the most. And why i don't talk about Sonic 1, it's just because of Labyrinth zone that i can't pass without cheat (i know, i feel so much shame...). |

I would say it's a tie between S3&K and Sonic Spinball. I'm not sure if Sonic Spinball is Genesis though. |

Sonic The Hedgehog 2, by far. Sonic 1 has some awkward pacing with speed and difficulty, as well as no spindash. So even if you're in a quickly paced Zone, you can't go as fast as expected since you have nothing to boost your speed. And it's awkward to attack enemies from the side. S3&K is a much bigger game than the first two, but is unfortunately a bit too tedious. The stages last much longer than they should. Sonic 2, on the other hand, is a pure enjoyment from beginning to end. I get enjoyment out of every single Zone and felt beyond accomplished once I beat the final boss. The level design is great and expansive. Even the weaker stages are still decent and not dragging. While not having as strong of a story as S3&K, it's still an improvement from Sonic 1's. It's a GREAT game, and something I love going back to. My only problem - the special stages. They shouldn't be based on memorization nor should you be punished for having Tails be with you - but they're not too bad. But all in all, Sonic 2 is a great game, and still my favourite video game of all time.

It all starts with this... A jewel containing the ultimate power! Every world has its end. I know that's kinda sad, but... That's why we gotta live life to the fullest in the time we have. At least, that's what I figure. -Sonic the Hedgehog | |

It's worth noting that an excessive amount of Sonic games in general revolve around memorization, haha. How do you do better at a level? Memorize it. How do you avoid that annoying badnik who always hits you? Memorize the level; take a different route. How do you find new routes? Memorize what you've already done, and try something different. With a Sonic game, memorization is very important. Especially with the 2-D games, but I think it's fair to say that this applies to the 3-D games too. Also, regarding Tails... A lot of people tend to complain about him-- especially in regards to the special stages-- but I personally have found him invaluable in the special stages. If you know how to time your jumps, which isn't all that troublesome, you can keep Tails just as safe as Sonic. And better still, he's a convenient secondary ring-catcher, which boosts the likelihood of success by a notable amount. But, yeah. xD; That's just my take on it. I do agree that Sonic 2 is the best of the Genesis Sonic games. |

Actually, this is the right section for it. Sonic's Sanctuary covers everything that isn't games. Megadrive/Genesis titles are still games. Anyway, on to the topic at hand... -glances at the section in his profile that says "Favourite Sonic Game"- Yep. Still Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The game I've played nearly to death. I pretty much know it like the back of my hand by now and it's still the one I enjoy the most. Though Sonic 2 isn't half bad either. Sky: Spinball counts as a Genesis title, though it is a spin-off rather than main series. Still, counts. Good game, too. |

My favorite has to be Sonic 3. This was the first Sonic game, other than Spinball, that I played. So many memories of playing as Tails reside here. I also loved the music. |

My favorite would be Shining Force 2. The level up ability, the party select is very useful, item storage, Multiple character classes, duplicate classes. It gets me to thinking really good. |

lol sorry, I read it as ''sega'' and not ''Sonic''. In that case I'd say my favorite would be Sonic 3 and Knuckles. |
