In these alternate universes there are 'copies' of ourselves. Sometimes they appear to be a bit different, be it in attitude, in clothing choice, mannerism, and sometimes even speech. In this tale, there is one mad man who is not suppose to exist in our universe. Yet in another, an alternate, he does exist, and has managed to cross over to our universe. How long he has been here is unknown. However, his work hasn't gone unnoticed. Many horrid and strange events has erupted over time. Each one growing more stranger and more horrifying. One event was so horrid that the government concealed the entire ordeal and pinned it as a mishap. A lot of lives were taken, and the worst part is, they never figured out if this event was resolved or not. All other events were brought to an abrupt stop. Be it genetic mutation, hyper grown demons of the night, the reenactment of vampires, reanimated corpses, living machines of destruction, and so on. With all this, all the dead ends, all the horrid acts of madness, for a time they were brought to a halt. Until three years later when most had forgotten about these crazy events, a popular news broadcast informed everyone of a horrifying truth. Everyone has been poisoned. With what they can not confirm. All they explained was that a timer has been set on everyone's life. In the middle of this broadcast the madman hijacked the feed and began broadcasting his own 'warning' to everyone... "I have infected you all, and turned each and everyone of you into ticking time bombs. Of course, my experiments are all about control, cause and affect, and things of the likeness. Having address this, I can not control every aspect of this new experiment of mine. Which means that the timer of every individual person differs from each other. Some may go off prematurely, others may simply go off later or earlier. Do not fret for too long though, once a few of you have timed out, I shall narrow it down to what possibilities each of you have. On the other hand, and to make this trail a little more enjoyable, I have released a new breed of insect into the world. I call it Karma. If you so happen to find this insect, which is highly doubtful as it is a predator and will be hunting you, you will be most fortunate. Upon being bitten by this gold and black insect, you will be infected with great power. The power you obtain depends on you as an individual. If you are dark at heart, I would assume you will be granted powers that would fit your cold, black hole of a heart. If you think yourself as a hero, than powers of strength and triumph will be yours. Honestly speaking, I could be completely. Regardless, a single bite will not only give you powers, but prevent you from being under the same fate as everyone else who has not been bitten. At last, I have talked far beyond my own good. I will report in when I feel it necessary... Oh, one more thing. One week from now, everyone will time out. You all have until then to figure out how you're all going to survive..." The feed is cut as static covers the screens. Within a matter of seconds a timer is presented in red numbers, counting down to their doom, if most of them can last for one week... Plot: You are one of the lucky few to get bitten by this insect that grants you power. How you got bitten can be stated in your intro post. The insect is actually large, about the size of a small plate. It looks like a beetle of some kind. Once it bites you it instantly dies, after infecting you with whatever power you choose of course. Remember, it is a predator, so it wont just be out in the open. After everyone puts in their intro post we'll move the rp along. Which means whom ever is bitten has two options; try to stop this mad man and save everyone, or cause chaos and add to the current mayhem. Rules: - No god-mooding - No auto hitting - this is an advance rp, no one liners - don't block or dodge every attack - no mary-sues(meaning your characters doesn't know everything and/or know things he/she isn't suppose to know. In other words, your character shouldn't know 'fourth-wall' knowledge. - there isn't a posting order but please allow others to post, which means don't rush ahead or make this a two person rp - no super/hyper forms, emeralds or gems of any kind that can make you go super/hyper - no chaos control or things of the like -humans and furries are welcomed Bio Sheet Name: Age: Gender: Species: Weapons: Abilities/Skills:(hacking, swordsmanship, riflemen, repairing, stealth(sneaking), hand to hand, ect) Infected Powers:(what powers did you obtain after you were bitten) Powers:(what were your powers before you got bitten. For this rp, I'll ask that you not pick a character that has powers already. If you do, know that these powers will be nullified upon being bitten.) Once we have about three people I'll make the official rp topic in the advance section. You can still join after the rp has started too.
