During the recent Nintendo Direct it was revealed that Sega and Nintendo have joined forces to release the next Sonic games exclusively on the Wii U and 3DS.
However what wasn't announced was that there will be three games released under this partnership

Two of these were announced during the Direct conference: Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and action adventure platformer Sonic Lost World. Sega said the mystery third Sonic game will be revealed at a later date.

"Sonic the Hedgehog has performed incredibly well on Nintendo platforms and this exclusive partnership is a natural fit for the next evolution of Sonic games," Sega Europe boss Jurgen Post said.

"The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS are ideal platforms to showcase Sonic and we are looking forward to working with Nintendo on these three exciting adventures."

It's a good thing I enjoy watching Youtube playthroughs as much as I do, because I have neither a Wii U nor a 3DS, and don't really have the finances to ever get one anytime soon, let alone the interest. It'll be interesting to see how these all turn out, though. The commercial for Lost World certainly looks interesting, and I remember thinking, 'Yup, Nintendo alright' when I saw the main villains xP

Sonic and Raven! :3
I definitely have a feeling that the third game is going to tie in with Lost World for some odd reason, since Lost World is tied in with Colors after all... I'm sort of 50/50 on this whole subject, it's cool that I can at least get the 3DS versions of the games though I find it to be a bit unfair to gamers who don't own either console. However I can see why Sega decided to make this change as it will probably help financially.

I hope the third game is an original handheld one. Not a port of a console game, an actual, brand new adventure.

I don't think the 3rd game will be another platform/adventure title, especially if it is coming out this year.
I'm still hoping for another Sonic Riders game. (Please don't let the Kinect kill off another good series!)

Another? Did it kill another series?

Also, I am very curious to what its going to be.

I would love to see it be the rumored Sonic/Mario Kart crossover. I can play Mario Kart hours in a row without getting sick of them, it would be amazing to see Sonic in that series! However, they already have the Mario Kart for the 3DS, so if this is a Wii U exclusive, I'd change my mind.
It all starts with this... A jewel containing the ultimate power!

Every world has its end. I know that's kinda sad, but... That's why we gotta live life to the fullest in the time we have. At least, that's what I figure.

You know what would seal the deal on me getting a Mario and Sonic Kart racing game? If Sumo had some hand in it. I absolutely loved All Stars Racing Transformed and with my love of the Mario Kart series, it's safe to say I'd be all over a game like that.
