Posts: 269 Group: B Rank Guardian Member #12,940 Joined: May 7, 2012	Sonic Songs and soundtracks that are just meh...doesn't get your head banging, bland or just forgettable for the most part. For me...it was Sonic Riders. I don't even remember the main theme or the stage songs, well except for SEGA Carnival...other than that it's just meh. Another is ....sigh SHTH. The main themes are okay, but the stages are bland and just bores me. Westopolis annoys me the most because it's always the starting point.

The Generations mix is awesome, but the original is a bit of a mess. Also, the Genesis version of Ice Cap from Sonic 3. It's far too repetitive; the Sonic & Knuckles Collection version of the theme is far superior in my humble opinion.

The game wasn't good, but Crush 40's music in the game is some of the most recognizable within the the Sonic franchise. I figured most people would like it! I'm not all into it because of the genre itself, but you know. Personally, Sonic leaving the alternative rock thing behind was a good thing. I can only take so much Crush 40...dear lord. The whole entire soundtrack from Secret Rings and the advance series (other then maybe 2) I can completely ignore. Believe it or not, a lot of the classic games I can ignore too. Sonic Crossroads 6 years ago, I began a fangame project called "Pure Shadow". I cancelled the project due to lack of time and other priorities. Now that I'm in college, and have loads of more time, I found the file and began to pick it up again. After refreshing my memory of all the coding put into the engine, I decided to use it to write a new project. Drawing out a new plot and new gimmicks for the project, I decided to rename this project called Sonic Crossroads. This project is going to be completed in Game Maker 8 PRO coded by myself and my friend who goes by the alias, MastaaFrederick. Because of our lack of experience in many aspects to increase enjoyability (such as music, artistry, animation, etc.), we want to develop a small team to work on this project. Anyone who is interested, please message me. On top of these things, we want to create a new antagonist for the story. We, MastaaFrederick and I, need a whole new character concept. We want the most creative fan character we can find, and create a sprite sheet for this character. We would like to find a character via messenger. Demo for the fangame coming soon.

The game itself was alright but the music and sound effects, nope. I was hoping they'd fix that in the sequel but apparently not. I'm also surprised by the amount of people saying that Shadow the Hedgehog didn't have a great soundtrack. It's one of my favourites. Sure, not every track was gold but there are a lot of good ones. Death Ruins, Digital Circuit and mad Mad Matrix all come to mind. As for stuff that's not great... probably the US Sonic CD soundtrack. After hearing the JP one I haven't really been able to go back to it. Though I will say that Sonic Boom is alright. Probably the only good thing that came out of it.

Of course the JAP version is much better IMO, but some songs such as Sonic Boom and Wacky Workbench Present sound awesome. I definitely agree with Sonic Chronicles, who ever composed that soundtrack obviously didn't know what they heck they were doing. :V
