So in June of last year we were told that Teen Titans was returning... as Teen Titans Go! So technically it's still the same characters just showing off their everyday lives outside of crime fighting. (Though that doesn't mean there isn't a bit of action still...) It's a spin off and unfortunately fans are trying to compare it to the original, which they really shouldn't but fans will do that. Also many people don't like it sadly, I find it to be hilarious! Last night's episode was bizarre and hilarious, in fact funnier than the previous episodes that aired. (And seeing Raven fan girling over a spoof of MLP was hilarious to see since it's unlike her to like something like that...) Of course I would like to see the original show return but I like what we got. Also this isn't the reason why YJ was canceled, that show was doomed since the beginning of season 2 unfortunately... But that's for a different topic of course. Here's the first part of Legendary Sandwich, which is the first episode.

Yeah, I appreciate it for what it is... it's just that "what it is" misses what I liked about the the first Teen Titans cartoon, which was that it still managed to have very serious, dramatic plotlines. It was a really interesting mix to have this kind of humor in it too, but it worked.

From the episodes of TTG I've seen so far, it borrowed only the first aspect of TT--the humor--and made an entire cartoon out of it. Instead of having the even balance we had in the first Teen Titans, TTG is all funny, all the time; it's really more of a spinoff of the TTG comic series than the original cartoon proper. It's great, if you prefer comedy... I suspect the fans who "don't like" it are mostly those with more serious tastes, who enjoyed the deeper character relationships, the fights with characters like Slade or Trigon, etc... TTG wasn't designed for that kind of fan.
I love programming! I work at Mommatown as a programmer on sites like Vincent Martella's, Don Leslie's and IPO Boutique. When I'm not doing that I'm usually writing game mods. <3

I wasn't that huge of a Teen Titans fan to begin with, but I was admittedly a little irritated to hear about this cartoon.

After watching it with my younger brother, however, I am satisfied. It's cute. It's a new direction, not intended to be like the original, and I can appreciate that. It managed to amuse me, so it's alright in my book.

Okay that was pretty funny. I can definitely appreciate the kind of humor that is displayed in Teen Titans Go. I was on the fence about diving into this new series, because I am a Teen Titans fan and I'm still working on the original series (although I did watch them all when I was younger, I'm just re-watching them). But now I'm pretty convinced that I'm gonna go through this new spin-off too.

Cyborg is freakin' hilarious, I can already tell he's gonna be my favorite.

I object to your claims
Saw an episode. It was amusing. As much as I prefer the original, I have to admit that this had a charm of it's own.

Indeed it does, however I was somewhat disappointed with last week's episode. For some odd reason, they split the two new episodes in two so instead of a new episode after "Ghostboy" we were greeted with "Legendary Sandwich" again. I read on Wikipedia that the two were to be split, however I honestly didn't think that and thought it was a error since anyone could edit it. (Plus originally they had the premiere date incorrect for a while too...) Ghostboy wasn't too amusing though sadly, though there were a few moments where I laughed. Overall it's been the most meh episode so far IMO. :\

It is awesome, but do keep in mind that it's not supposed to be a continuation of the original. Many fans have done so and were somewhat disappointed. However I hope you like it. ^_^

I really do feel for Raven. Then again, I think shes my favorite of the Titans.

Yeah, I remember seeing so much hate for the show, and being like "Oh come on it can't be THAT bad." Then I saw a preview and thought "...well. I see why they hate it so now." Kinda like how I saw why a friend of mine hated T.U.F.F. Puppy.

Though unlike T.U.F.F., I haven't really sat down and watched the show.

Aaaauk. I tried to watch an episode of this another day. An episode where Robin was in drivers ed or something.

Not to be a downer... but it was unbearable to me.

I sure hope these other episodes can prove my thoughts about the series wrong. Also coming from a person who thought the original series was one of the best shows CN ever had.

I tried to watch it, but I switched the channel at the last minute. See, I have a hard time accepting Raven and Robin as silly characters--I mean, they had their moments, but they also had responsibilities. I can see Beast Boy and Cyborg in this show, but...I dunno. I kind of cringe.

I miss the original. Gosh, I loved it so much...must be why I instantly liked Young Justice. XD

It's entertaining. That's what I give it. It's good for what they made it to be, a humor-based sitcom cartoon, but, obviously, it's nothing compared to the original, and it's rather disappointing that, that can't simply be brought back instead, or in addition to, this. As a spin-off this is great, but, just by itself, it leaves a taste for what Teen Titans used to be. Bad-ass.

Really great to hear the original cast again, though.

Being a rabid fan of the original Teen Titans show and a past collector of the comics, Teen Titans Go! is just unbearable to watch. Basically, take a show that had real storyline and depth into it and market it as a continuation to meet with the "standard quality" of shows in the lineup like Adventure Time and Regular Show. Teen Titans did have its share of comedic moments but Go! pretty much slams the humor in your face without a hint of caring for its atmosphere. As an animation critic, this franchise fell pretty hard when Go! first aired. You don't see Justice League turn into a chibi-styled Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi spin-off, do you? Oh man, I sure hope that doesn't happen.

Eh i'm extremely happy Teen Titans is back in some form, but of course this is no where as good as the original. Apparently the show is still getting tons of viewers and rumor has it Greg Cipes (Beast Boy's voice actor) said that CN might make a season six of the original show since they see this one is doing good in ratings. (I don't know how that would work since Glen is working on Beware the Batman, however he did work on The Batman while Teen Titans was still on the air...) I loved tonight's episode though, poor Raven I don't like going to the dentist either. I got a kick out of the creature beating up on Beast Boy and thought to myself when he said "Why does it keep attacking me?!" "Well Beast Boy you're the one that annoyed the hell out of Raven, of course it was going to attack you first". :V Definitely my favorite episode to date. :3

It may be back on the air but I'd rather see a continuation rather than a comedy-specific spin-off that has an awful choice of animation style. Go! pretty much just shatters any seriousness and backstory of the characters that was established a decade ago in favor of puns and in-your-face humor inspired by modern trends and pop culture, which we already get enough of with Regular Show, Gumball, etc.

I will admit, I did like some of the jokes in "The Legendary Sandwich" and "Pie Bros." but I didn't really feel like I was watching an episode of Teen Titans. It felt like watching another generic cartoon CN airs these days.
