(Mods please forgive me if this topic doesn't belong here or if this has been created already...) Anyway so what Sega consoles have you owned or still own? I currently own 4 Sega Genesis, all in working condition. 2 Model 1's and 2 Model 2's, I would love to own at least 1 Model 3 though someday. I also own a Sega CD, 32x, Game Gear, and a Saturn. :)

I object to your claims
There was a time when we had a Sega Saturn. I don't know what happened to it. In recent years, we've gotten a Dreamcast and a Genesis.

You mean the Nomad, MultiMega or Wonderswan?

Mega Drive 1, Mega CD1, Game Gear, 32X, Saturn, Dreamcast. Planning on a Master System soon-ish. Would NOT say no to a working MultiMega.

I forgot about the Multimega, I would love to own that but I was actually talking about that Model 3 Genesis that was released by Majesco in 1998, just for collection purposes. It's not compatible with the add-ons since it lacks the ports, but meh. xD And I totally want a Nomad so bad, it's be cool to play my Genesis games on the go. Dx

My family's owned the Genesis before I was even born, and I've always played the hell out of Sonic 2 on there. I also got a Dreamcast last year. I'm hoping to get a Saturn one day, but that isn't my focus right now. And no games on the other systems have really caught my eye.

Quick question by the way, has Sega ever done backwards compatibility? I'd like to know if my Dreamcast can play Saturn games.
It all starts with this... A jewel containing the ultimate power!

Just the Genesis, for me. Still have it, but I haven't used it in a while. It belonged to my mom and she used it when I was young, then she let my dad keep it when they divorced. And, since he doesn't really play video games anymore, he keeps it in the basement's game room for me, or for any guests that want to give it a whirl.

I brought it in to my eleventh grade presentation about the Sonic franchise though, and let my classmates play Sonic 2 for a few minutes as a 'hands-on' activity. All the bonus points. All of them. My teacher loved me. Even though he always did

Unfortunately it's not backwards compatible at all. The Dreamcast runs on a different processor, and therefore Saturn games wouldn't be able to run on it. Sega themselves technically never had a backwards compatible console, however the Power Base Convertor allowed you to play Master System games on your Genesis, seeing how the main processor chip found in the SMS is also found in the Genesis. (The z80 chip, it processes music in the Genesis.)

Ah, I see. That sucks, I've always wanted to play NiGHTS as well as other Saturn games. Thanks for clearing it up, though!

I used to own a Mega Drive and a Dreamcast but my dad has since got rid of them. He has that habit >_>

On the bright side... I still have a Game Gear...

My folks used to own a Sega Genesis. They had several games for it, including Sonic 3 and Sonic Spinball and thus, my love for Sonic grew. Other games included Aero the Acrobat, The Lost Vikings, Beavis and Butthead, etc. The console, of course, broke, but... good times. Would have liked to see how the Dreamcast fared though.
